Strictly Come Dancing star Nadiya Bychkova strips down to her bikini as she welcomes 2025 in below freezing Slovenia with daughter Mila, 8

As winter temperatures continue to plummet across the United Kingdom, one could be forgiven for craving sunnier climes, warmer weather and a welcome abundance of vitamin D. 

But not Nadiya Bychkova, who opted to spend Christmas and New Year in her native Slovenia with young daughter Mila, eight, whose father is footballer Matija Skarabot. 

The Strictly Come Dancing professional, 35, appeared to be nonplussed by the below freezing temperatures currently sweeping across her home country while relaxing with her daughter in a hot-tub. 

Stripping down to a red bikini, Nadiya showed off her incredible physique as she made the most of her picturesque surroundings during their stay at a remote winter chalet.  

Sharing a handful of photos and videos with Instagram followers, she wrote: ‘Our winter fairytale in Slovenia.’

The ballroom dancer – who was first to be eliminated from this year’s Strictly with celebrity partner Tom Dean –  also shared images of herself walking barefoot through the snow.

Nadiya is understood to be single after ending her relationship with fellow Strictly professional Kai Widdrington. 

The talented dancer originally confirmed their romance in 2022, during an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail Weekend magazine. 

‘We’ve been seeing each other properly for a couple of months now,’ she said at the time. 

‘It’s early days and we’ve been rehearsing for the Strictly Professionals tour, so there’s been very little free time,’ she continues.

‘But we’re getting to know more and more about each other day by day. He’s kind and compassionate and makes me laugh. I feel very relaxed with him.’

When Nadiya, a two-time world champion Latin and ballroom dancer and the only Strictly professional who’s a mother, joined the show in 2017 the long separations from her fiancé, with whom she lived in Slovenia, took their toll.

 ‘You’re apart for so much of your lives and neither of us wanted that. Unfortunately we grew apart,’ she explained. 

‘But we’ll always be connected by Mila, who we love more than anyone, and we’ll do our best to make sure she’s the happiest child. It’s important to Matija and me that we have a good relationship for Mila’s sake.
