Sting Urged Justin Theroux to Propose to Nicole

Sting has revealed that he played a key part in actor 's decision to propose to his now wife Nicole Brydon Bloom. 

's ex-husband, 54, tied the knot with his second bride, who is 22 years his junior, in a quiet beach ceremony in Tulum, last year.

And it seems that the Shape Of My Heart hitmaker gave Justin the encouragement to get down on one knee for his love, 32, as well as providing the venue in which to do so.

Speaking to Daily Mail's Richard Eden, Sting, 74, shared of the romantic moment: 'He proposed in my house when they'd come to stay with us in ,' referring to the Tuscan villa he owns with his wife Trudie Styler.

The singer continued: '[Theroux] said to me, "Do you think I should marry this girl?" and I said, "Well, if you don't, I will".' 

And it seems as though Sting's matchmaking has certainly paid off, with , a year after exchanging vows. 

The pair broke the news of their son's arrival on Instagram, jointly posting an image of the newborn snoozing gently on a shirtless Justin's chest.

'He's here,' wrote Nicole in the caption of the black-and-white photo, adding a dove of peace emoji and gushing: 'we are so in love.'

Well-wishers flooded into the comments, including Hacks actress Hannah Einbinder, Queer Eye star Tan France and onetime Disney Channel staple .

News of the pregnancy went public in December after Nicole gave her baby bump its public debut at the season two premiere of Theroux's Amazon Prime series Fallout.

The couple were first linked in February 2023, and by that December he accompanied her as her date to her twin sister Chrissy's wedding.
