Stevie Nicks provided a poem for Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated new album The Tortured Poets Department.
The 75-year-old music legend started writing a poem last August for Swift, 34, that was featured as the written prologue to the pop star’s new album that dropped on Friday.
Nicks titled the poem ‘For T and me…’ and it includes information that it was written in Austin, Texas.
The poem started, ‘He was in love with her / Or at least she thought so / She was brokenhearted / Maybe he was too.’
‘Neither of them knew / She was way too hot to handle / He was way too high to try / He couldn’t even see her / He wouldn’t open his eyes,’ the poem continued.

It also includes the lines, ‘She was on her way to the stars / He didn’t say goodbye.’
The poem about ill-fated lovers foreshadowed the tracks on Taylor’s 11th studio album that many speculate explore her doomed relationship with actor Joe Alwyn and her brief romance with Matty Healy.

Nicks and Swift in January 2010 performed together at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards.
They performed the Fleetwood Mac song Rhiannon that Nicks wrote as well as Swift’s hit songs Today Was A Fairytale and You Belong With Me.
‘It’s a fairy tale and an honor to share the stage with Stevie Nicks,’ Swift said while introducing Nicks to the Grammy Awards audience.
Swift in the album’s last song titled Clara Bow referenced two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Nicks.
‘You look like Stevie Nicks in ’75, the hair and lips / Crowd goes wild at her fingertips, half moon shine a full eclipse,’ Swift sings in the song.

The pop superstar released The Tortured Poets Department’ at midnight on Friday and just hours later, Swift dropped a bombshell by announcing she added a second installment of 15 extra songs to make it an ‘Anthology’.
In a post on social media, Swift wrote: ‘It’s a 2am surprise: ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ is a secret DOUBLE album.
‘I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here’s the second installment of ‘TTPD: The Anthology’. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn’t mine anymore … it’s all yours.’
The extra release means the album has a total of 31 songs including, ‘The Manuscript’, ‘The Bolter’, The Albatross’ and ‘The Black Dog’, which were the bonus tracks included on vinyl versions of the record.
