Steph Claire Smith has opened up about her body image insecurity and how she overcame her struggles.
The fitness influencer, 28, took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday to share a body positive message with her fans as she opened up about her insecurities.
She revealed that she used to feel self-conscious about how her arms looked and wanted them to be ‘smaller’ but has now learnt to be proud of their ‘strength’.
Steph – who is a mother to son Harvey, two – said she stopped comparing herself to others and assured her followers that everyone has their own insecurities.
Sharing a mirror selfie decked out in gym gear, she wrote: ‘I used to be so insecure about my arms. I just wanted them to be smaller. I’d compare myself all the time to others.

‘Now I look at them and I’m so proud of their strength. What they enable me to do every day. How they help me carry my little man around every day.
‘I suppose it’s just a friendly reminder that no matter what someone looks like, we all have our ‘things’, our insecurities that we feel or have worked through.
‘And you can’t always see them from an external perspective, so know that it’s the same for your own insecurities too.
‘They’re more obvious to you than they ever will be to anyone else’s eyes.’
Her latest post comes days after she attended Taylor Swift’s Eras tour concert in Melbourne on Saturday.
The social media star nabbed herself a much-sought-after ticket and shared a gallery of snaps of herself glammed up for the big night to her Instagram.
She showed off her incredible figure in a pink mini dress, which she styled with metallic heeled boots as she embraced the fan dress code.

She opened up about how she met the pop queen during a Q&A with fans on Instagram, sharing two pictures with Taylor.
She explained how they met at a gym in their younger years, while Steph was working as a model in New York and Taylor was living in the city.
‘I was training with Justin Gelband, doing some of his classes and also one on one session,’ she began.

‘He trained Taylor – and one day when I was going in for my session she had just ended hers so we met in the change rooms.
‘There were heaps of paparazzi out the front of the gym so she wasn’t in any rush and we got chatting.’
After performing to the biggest crowd of her career last week in Melbourne, Taylor will hit Sydney this weekend, performing at four shows from Friday, February 23 to Monday February 26.
