Jane Fonda, Maria Shriver and Kristen Wiig led the A-list arrivals at the 49th Annual Gracie Awards on Tuesday night at the Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel, in Beverly Hills.
The ceremony is presented by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation and celebrates ‘exemplary programming created by women, for women and about women in all facets of media and entertainment.’
It’s named after legendary vaudeville star Gracie Allen, who was a pioneering force in early TV, film and radio.
Carol Burnett, 91, — comedian, actress, singer and host of the comedy-variety show The Carol Burnett — is the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.
‘Carol Burnett is a true icon of television and entertainment, whose impact spans decades and resonates with audiences of all ages,’ said president of the AWMF, Becky Brooks, in a statement published in April.

‘Her groundbreaking work on ‘The Carol Burnett Show’ set a standard for excellence in comedy and storytelling, earning her countless awards and accolades.
‘We are truly privileged to recognize her outstanding contributions to the industry and celebrate her remarkable career at the Gracie Awards Gala, where the talented Rachel Platten will also be inspiring us with a special performance with her unforgettable female anthems,’ Brooks concluded.
Previous lifetime achievement awardees include Cicely Tyson, Rita Moreno, Jane Pauley, Marlo Thomas and Wonder Woman icon Lynda Carter.
Burnett is a coveted EGOT winner, with six Emmys, seven Golden Globes, a Grammy and a Tony Award to her name.
She is also a two-time Peabody Award recipient and she received a Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award in 2016.
Along with starring on CBS’ The Carol Burnett Show for 11 years from 1967 to 1978, Burnett boasts over 80 television and film credits.
Michelle Obama, Sydney Sweeney and Nicole Kidman were also among the luminaries being honored at the 2024 ceremony.
