Star of Farmer Wants A Wife criticizes ‘disappointing and disgraceful’ editing on the dating show following viewer backlash urging a boycott

Farmer Wants A Wife star Daisy Lamb has slammed the ‘disgraceful’ editing of the dating show.

Daisy joined the Channel Seven program as a potential love match for Farmer Todd Melbourne, and the pair have quickly formed a close connection on their dates.

But they hit a rocky patch when Daisy met Todd’s friends, who shared their doubts over whether she was a good match because she is similar to his ex-girlfriend.

Daisy also left Todd’s mother taken aback when she admitted she might already be ‘in love’ with the farmer despite it still being early on in the dating stages.

However, Daisy has now slammed the editing of the dating show after the scenes aired, claiming viewers were given the ‘wrong idea’ about what had happened.

Farmer Wants A Wife star Daisy Lamb has slammed the ‘disgraceful’ editing on the dating show after shock scenes showed her come under criticism from Farmer Todd Melbourne’s friends

She criticised the editing as ‘disappointing and disgraceful’ as she claimed the final result was ‘sad’, after viewers accused her of coming on too strong with Todd.

According to Yahoo!, she said: ‘Unfortunately, the editing in this series is disappointing and disgraceful (to say the least) and has given viewers the wrong idea of what happened, who I am and how the whole experience with Todd played out.

‘The other girls had plenty of time, we all had opportunity to speak with him and spend time alone with him and it’s sad that, what could have been an amazing story, has been turned into something so foul.’

‘Keep shining your light guys,’ she added.

Cattle farmer Todd also commented on the edit, claiming the meeting between Daisy and his friends was ‘a lot more positive’ than viewers were led to believe.

The shock scenes saw Todd’s friends tell him that he should look elsewhere for love as they shared their doubts over his connection with Daisy.

‘I think she might be fun for right now, but not long term,’ one mate told the farmer, adding she was not a good match because she had recently got divorced.

‘I don’t feel like she’s the right pick for you as a wife and as a mother to your children. I just find her very strong, feisty, clash heads with kind of girl, has that masculine vibe.’

However, Todd claimed that there were some more positive elements of the meeting as he hinted that things weren’t quite as they appeared on screen.

‘It didn’t quite exactly come across the way it was meant to,’ he told Refinery29. ‘It seemed a lot harsher the way it was put together on screen.

‘During the conversation with my cousin and his wife…. there were jokes and laughter and they did get along.’

Ellen Dunger, who was sent home by Farmer Todd this week, also shared her thoughts on Daisy’s edit and the criticism she has received from fans of the show.

She reportedly showed her support as she said: ‘Let’s be clear, Daisy was the ONLY girl from the farm who consistently checked in on me when she knew I was struggling.

‘She was the ONLY girl from the farm who reached out after I left to see how I was.’

Todd is currently dating Daisy, Iyesha, Grace, Jacinta and Ellen on his farm in Baan Baa, NSW, in a bid to find the love of his life.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Seven for comment.

‘Let’s boycott next year as all the emotional turmoil created by the producers toying with real people’s emotions is absolutely disgusting,’ one social media user wrote.

‘Thanks ch 7 for ruining what was once a good show it has survived for a long time without the scripted drama I’m sure you’ve lost a lot of loyal followers,’ another commented.

‘I definitely won’t be watching next year…It really was the worst season ever,’ added another.

Their comments came after Farmer Bert Harris shockingly left the show solo, with insiders claiming he felt increasingly manipulated by production tactics, according to Yahoo Lifestyle.

‘Farmer Bert was really sweet and it was sad to see him being treated like a prop,’ a source told the publication.
