Stacey Solomon took to Instagram to share with fans a glimpse of her most shocking makeover at her Pickle Cottage home on Sunday.
The TV personality, 34, who has showed off her gorgeous farm house kitchen numerous times in the past admitted she’d taken drastic steps to give the room a whole new look.
Sharing a snap to her Stories Stacey admitted she hadn’t dared tell anyone or ask their opinion before taking the plunge and painting the white walls black.
Captioning the post: ‘THE KITCHEN IS NOW BLACK’.
‘It is the f*** it year after all! So I didn’t tell anyone, ask anyone’s opinion, I just had it painted. I’ve been thinking about it for a while, so I went for it’.

Before adding: ‘I will send some pics in the newsletter later this month, want to add some finishing touches still. But I think it looks a MILLION times more cosy & just SOOOOO different’.
DIY queen Stacey looks set take on America with her new Channel 4 DIY show, Renovation Rescue which will air for the first time next week.
The new series is produced by none other than Hollywood star Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine company.
Insiders are predicting that the show will translate well in the U.S, as they claim Americans are likely to fall for Stacey’s British charm.
Mother-of-five Stacey was left in shock that the award-winning actress Reese, 48, had even heard of her.
She said: ‘How does she even know me? I still to this day don’t know how they found me. They just said they wanted me. Maybe some of her researchers and her team had seen the show.’
TV insiders have now told The Mirror, that the Legally Blonde stars US connections could help Stacey become a star Stateside.
A source said: ‘Renovation shows are a mega business in America. There are entire channels dedicated to them.

Stacey, husband Joe Swash and their family, which now consists of five children, moved into the £1.3million Essex home which she nicknamed Pickle Cottage in 2022 and the couple even tied the knot there the same year

‘And they love Brits. Bake Off is popular in the States because Americans love Paul and Prue’s Britishness. Grand Designs is also very popular in America because of Kevin McCloud.
‘They think viewers will fall for Stacey’s English charm, and the Reese connection is a big enabler. They launched a UK arm of Hello Sunshine to create formats that could sell in Britain first and then around the world. Hello Sunshine has all the contacts in the US, so it’s all set up.’

The show has already been commissioned for a second series.
An insider added: ‘Stacey has carved out a successful career as the queen of DIY TV on the BBC and Channel 4 bosses are delighted they’ve been able to get in on the action. They also believe she has what it takes to crack America.’
