STACEY Solomon was left gobsmacked when husband Joe Swash failed to comment on a huge change to her appearance – and took a cheeky swipe at him on Instagram.
The Loose Women star filmed Joe, 43, scrambling to find out what he’d one wrong after she vented her frustration to her millions of followers.
Stacey had unveiled a major hair transformation, swapping her bright blonde locks to a rich brown with face-framing “soft brown” highlights.
She captioned her snaps: “In my soft brown era.
“Really thought I would be brave & have a big old hair change.
“You know when you just need to switch it up.”
Joe, and her kids, didn’t notice, and Stacey said: “Turns out not one person in my family has noticed other than my sister when I saw her last night.
“So it clearly isn’t much of a change. Am I crazy? Does it look the same?
“Joe still to this very moment hasn’t noticed.
“Oh well I love it and feel like a whole new women.
“Love you @peneloperyanbeauty you made my hair dreams come true.”
After spotting her post, Joe appeared in Stacey’s Instagram Story.
He said: “You’ve got extensions in. But made them curly. Really bouncy.
“Your eyebrows?”
Stacey said: “I’ve had these hair extensions in the whole time. No it’s not eyebrows.”
Fans rushed to share similar stories of their spouses drawing a blank.
One said: “Men don’t seem to notice these changes! I had a drastic hair colour change a few years ago and my partner at the time had no idea.”
Another said: “I changed my hair once and it took four days before anyone noticed!”
A third said: “That’s loads darker absolutely love it.”
The mum-of-five, who rose to fame after finishing third on The X Factor back in 2009, recently made a relationship confession where she opened up about her home life.
“How can you not fall out with your husband?”, Stacey told Good Housekeeping UK.
“That’s a pipe dream! We don’t have a house full of staff, although we do have help. My mum will put a wash on; Dad looks after the kids.
“Joe and I argue all the time over the stuff that’s got to be done. I feel like we’re in that era: five kids, three of whom are young, so everything’s a kerfuffle.”
The star, who also opened fans up to her home life on her BBC reality series Stacey and Joe, didn’t shy away from admitting that things between her and her hubby can get difficult.
Speaking ahead of their ten-year anniversary next year, she continued: “[Joe and I] got together because we like each other.
“We have the same morals and values, so even if we do have a couple of months of, ‘F***king hell, I can’t even look at you right now,’ we’ll eventually remember why we got together in the first place.”
