Alexa PenaVega and her husband Carlos shared that they suffered a stillbirth of their fourth baby recently.
The couple announced the devastating news in a joint Instagram post on Monday, writing that losing their baby ‘has been a painful journey.’
The Spy Kids actress, 35, and the Big Time Rush star, 34, are also the parents of sons Ocean, seven, and Kingston, four, as well as two-year-old daughter Rio.
They previously revealed they were expecting their fourth child together in November 2023.
‘There are never the right words to say when it comes to loss,’ they wrote on a plain black background in lieu of a caption and photos.

‘After a beautiful and peaceful delivery our daughter “Indy” was born at rest,’ they shared.
‘It has been a painful journey,’ the pair wrote. ‘But in the pain we have found peace. God continues to comfort and hold us in his arms.’
The couple — who have been married for a decade since they tied the knot in January 2014 — went on to thank their ‘community’ for their ‘prayers,’ which they added have ‘been so sustaining in this difficult season.’
About their late daughter, the PenaVegas wrote: ‘This little girl has already changed our lives in so many ways.
‘She was absolutely beautiful,’ the couple said, adding that she ‘looked just like daddy’ with ‘dark hair and all.’
The couple did not reveal specifics about her passing but said that they have been dealing with their ‘grief’ in ‘waves.’
They shared that they have been feeling ‘absolutely gutted’ but simultaneously ‘feeling blessed by just getting a moment with her.’
‘We can’t understand why things like this happen and we may never get those answers,’ they concluded.

Addressing their fourth baby, the couple added: ‘Indy Rex PenaVega, you completely changed our world. You gave us the community we have been longing for. We love you [and] can’t wait to see how many other lives you change.’
Previously, the pair shared that Alexa was pregnant with their fourth child about half a year ago.
They announced their news with an Instagram post with snaps from a night out with the couple cradling Alexa’s baby bump on display in a skintight, iridescent pink jumpsuit.
In their caption, the pair had written: ‘Thank God we love adventures. Oh baby here we come! Número cuatro!’
Since then, Alexa updated her followers about her pregnancy with bump updates as well as third-trimester complications.
In March, she shared that she was hospitalized for ‘insane’ bleeding.
‘Long story short, after a lot of time in the hospital, and tests, and bleeding calming down and everything, and ruling out all possibilities, it looks like I have had a separation of my placenta from my uterus,’ she explained in an Instagram video.
‘Not completely, a partial.’ The actress admitted that at the time she believed she would ‘have had a baby already and … [be] in the NICU.’

Despite the pregnancy scare, she kept a positive outlook: ‘Every single day that I’m pregnant here in this hospital is literally a miracle.’
She also praised her husband for being a ‘super daddy’ while he took of their kids when she was in the hospital.
The couple walked down the aisle in 2014 and started their family two years later.
The actors have appeared together on the small screen, starring in several Hallmark movies together, including Enchanted Christmas and Love at Sea.
