Spencer Pratt has claimed the aftermath from the LA wildfires will ‘give everyone cancer’ as he reveals residents are ‘forced to return to their toxic houses’.
Earlier this year, The Bold and the Beautiful actor, 42, and his wife Heidi Montag was forced to flee his Pacific Palisades residence, which he purchased in 2017 for $2.5 million.
The catastrophic fires took 31 direct lives, destroyed over 10,000 homes, displaced thousands, and scorched over 40,000 acres across LA and surrounding areas.
Spencer’s been chronicling his heartbreaking journey on social media, from watching his home burn to searching through the ashes for anything that survived, to seeking financial support from their family.
Now, taking to his Instagram on Tuesday, Spencer launched a scathing attack at the government as he raged they need to ‘take responsibility’.
He shared a screenshot of a message that was sent to him, that said: ‘We spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to get our home cleared.

‘We had a scientist test our home post fire. We had 22% toxins. We tested and after 8 weeks of cleaning that we paid for, we still had level 6%. So we had to have the cleaning company come back for a second time.
‘We are waiting testing for the third time but the world needs of know how wrong all of this is.
‘We have to throw out all mattresses, redo all carpet and fabrics. Throw basically everything out. Nothing is covered by insurance.
‘And we were dropped on Dec 26th. That’s what we asked State Farm to examine and they declined coverage.
‘Our current lease ends Tuesday. Cal fair won’t pay anymore for house. We can’t home because we still don’t know the toxicity levels inside.
‘How is this okay? I imagine for the most part of Palisadians they don’t have the ability to test this many times. Imagine how sick people will get because of all of this.’
Alongside the snap, Spencer penned: ‘We don’t want to go home to a toxic house. but we have no choice.
‘Our insurance won’t cover housing and we just don’t know what to do. as of right now we are moving home in two weeks because we have no other choice.

Alongside the screenshot, he launched an attack on the government
‘HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE GOING TO GET CANCER OR WHO KNOWS WHAT BECAUSE OF HAVING TO MOVE BACK INTO TOXIC HOUSES BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO CHOICE.
‘My legs and arms are covered in hives and rashes from just doing our podcast in our dirt lot!
‘The city and state should be responsible for cleaning out all these toxins!
‘Since they created a situation where insurance companies don’t have to do anything.’
It comes after Spencer and Heidi joined other homeowners in suing the city over the damage to their properties, as per The Hollywood Reporter.
Their lawsuit, filed in California’s Superior Court in Los Angeles County in January, accuses the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power of ‘failing to maintain an adequate water supply system to fight the blazes.’
It further states that the blaze was ‘an inescapable and unavoidable consequence’ due to how the city and LADWP allegedly managed the area’s water supply.
It points to ‘delays in in repairing the Santa Ynez Reservoir, leaving the massive water storage complex in the heart of the Palisades empty for nearly a year.’

Spencer previously revealed his plans to sue the State of California after his home was tragically burnt down.
The former reality star announced that he intends on filing a lawsuit against California due to their alleged negligence that resulted in the loss of his residence.
While speaking to blogger, Perez Hilton, the father-of-two recalled desperately trying to get help from Los Angeles Fire Department as he watched his property go up in flames.
‘They never came. The gate was still locked,’ he claimed. ‘They never came. I watched from my security cameras until our house burned down. There were no fire trucks.’
As his home burned down, Pratt insisted that he called 911 and informed them that if they sent ‘one fire truck’ to his street that they ‘could stop [the fire from] coming down the whole freaking area.’
In response to his suggestion to bring in a truck, he said he was told that the fire department didn’t ‘have the assets.’
The couple’s home was flattened to the ground after the raging fire took over the LA landscape and wreaked fiery havoc, and photos obtained by DailyMail.com showed the severity of the devastation.
The only parts of the home still standing were the charred entry gate and the front portion of the home’s stucco perimeter wall. Large piles of debris were seen throughout the property as well as burnt foliage that once decorated the home’s front yard.

His decision to sue comes amid widespread backlash against Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass’ lack of preparation and rapid response to the wildfires.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has blamed Gavin Newsom, the Governor of California, for the killer wildfires that have ravaged the state.
Like a lot of California homeowners, The Hills alums’ policy was dropped by their insurance company last year.
‘We were house poor, as they call it,’ Heidi explained in a recent interview on Good Morning America.
‘Like, we have a house and everything else is a hustle, is a grind. So yeah, we’re definitely counting every dollar that we make because we’re working really hard. We take one trip a year.’
