Comedian Jerry Seinfeld made headlines in 2017 when he notoriously declined pop star Kesha’s request for a hug at a red carpet event in Washington, D.C.
And on Friday, radio king Kyle Sandilands, 52, presented his wild theory about what really happened to his co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, 48.
‘I look at that and there’s only one reason a guy would not just give some young girl a little hug on the carpet. He’d been in trouble with his Missus,’ Kyle began.
‘She would have said to stop hugging everyone.’
However, Jackie was having none of it and said Seinfeld’s actions were more likely due to his quirky personality.

‘It was so awful but funny, because it’s so Jerry Seinfeld. He just generally doesn’t like touching, I don’t think he is a toucher,’ she shot back.
Jackie then said US pop star Kesha, 36, had recently come out and said the incident was one of the ‘saddest moments’ of her entire life.
‘Poor thing, she did walk off looking humiliated. But some people don’t like hugs, I don’t like being touched either,’ Kyle said.

Back in 2017, Jerry Seinfeld denied Kesha’s three requests for a hug during a very awkward exchange on the red carpet.
The Tik Tok pop star approached the comedian while he was being interviewed at the National Night of Laughter and Song event at the Kennedy Center.
She approached him while he was discussing meditation with Tommy McFly of DC’s 94.7 Fresh FM, who later shared the clip on Twitter.

‘I’m Kesha, I love you so much, can I give you a hug?’ Kesha asked Seinfeld.
‘No thanks,’ Seinfeld replied.
She tried two more times, but his reply remained the same and she quickly ran off in embarrassment.
