Sophie Habboo Flaunts Baby Bump, Reveals Long Dry Spell with Jamie Laing

Pregnant Sophie Habboo showed off her blossoming baby bump as she admitted that she and husband Jamie Laing haven’t had sex in ‘so long’.

The former Made In Chelsea stars revealed in June that they are expecting their first child together and renamed their hit podcast Newlyweds to NearlyParents, in anticipation of their impending parenthood.

Ahead of the birth, Jamie took to Instagram on Sunday to share a snap of his pregnant wife standing in their newly-renovated ‘£12million’ home. 

Sophie could be seen wearing black pants and a rolled up grey vest top as she displayed her growing bump.

Just days before, Sophie admitted that she and Jamie haven’t had sex for a long time while she’s been pregnant as she expressed anxieties over being intimate again.

‘When baby does come, to induce the baby, we can have sex,’ Jamie said on their podcast last week.

Sophie then replied ‘yeah’ before taking in a deep breath. ‘Lost my breath for a second. I held it, pure nerves and anticipation.’

‘Around us going to have sex?’ Jamie asked, to which Sophie replied: ‘It might be awkward, it’s been that long! It will be awkward, won’t it? Can’t even get drunk!’

Jamie burst out laughing as he agreed it would be awkward, before Sophie added: ‘Will we be like staring into each others’ eyes?’ 

Sophie and Jamie finally unveiled their stunning London property on Thursday after an extensive 14-month-long renovation.

And opening up on how they came to secure the luxury abode, rumoured to be worth £12million, Jamie, 36, and Sophie, 30, explained how fate had had a hand in the story.

In a new joint interview with The Standard, the married couple detailed how an article about their fruitless house-hunting journey was spotted by the former owner’s grandmother.

She proceeded to call up her grandson to insist that she had discovered the perfect buyers for his place, with Sophie and Jamie happening to book a viewing at the property the same day.

While Jamie admitted that he was hesitant about the house at first, Sophie fell instantly in love and even threatened her husband with divorce if he didn’t agree to put in an offer. Before the day was out, their offer was in.

He said: ‘When we walked in, I was not sure at first. Sophie turned to me and said, “If we do not put an offer in, I am going to divorce you”. That was the clincher.’

And after spending over a year renovating the place to suit the couple’s needs and wants, Jamie couldn’t resist taking to social media to show off the new home.

Taking to Instagram, he brought his followers on a tour of the downstairs and showed a look at the property before the renovation – empty with light fixtures dangling from the ceiling.

In the after footage, he unveiled the stunning split level and open plan kitchen, dining and living space of the property, but joked that the renovation had left he and Sophie ‘nearly divorced’. 

He wrote in the caption: ‘Just in time. My wife and I bought our first home and started renovating it… 14 months, 10,000 arguments and nearly divorced later, we’ve finally finished.’

It comes after Sophie revealed that her dad called her ‘enormous’ and said she was ‘way bigger than her sister’ when she was expecting. 

Her sister Georgia welcomed a baby girl, Bella, with her husband Tom Berry back in November, with their dad Patrique comparing their bumps. 

Speaking on another episode of NearlyParents, Sophie recalled the comments from her dad that ‘no woman wants to hear.’

She began: ‘What you don’t ever want to be told, even when your pregnant is “you look enormous.”‘

Jamie explained: ‘Sophie’s dad phones her when we’re in the car and goes “Sophie you look enormous! Way bigger than you sister. And I thought “f*** sake that’s the day ruined.”‘

Sophie added: ‘A woman wants to hear, “you look healthy” or “you look stunning.”  

Speaking about her bra size, she joked: ‘It’s not the cup situation that’s disturbing me, I don’t know if I’m a 55 back now. I am the hulk.

‘I’m ordering 40 and I can’t breathe in them. How am I expanding this much. My mum said my feet will get wider and never go back to normal I’m going to be so good at swimming Michael Phelps move over.’

Jamie joked: ‘Sophie has a booty. I like big butts and I cannot lie. You have this butt that is like a ledge. It’s insane though.’
