Sophia Bush threw her girlfriend Ashlyn Harris a birthday bash as she turned 40 on October 19.
The 43-year-old former One Tree Hill sensation — who was a guest on Monica Lewinsky’s podcast in June — hosted the party at archery range Wild Captives in Brooklyn.
In a joint Instagram post with Sophia on Tuesday, Ashlyn shared photos and reflected on her special day. ‘Forty. A number that feels less like a milestone and more like a mirror,’ she began the pensive caption.
And she gave her girlfriend of two years a special shoutout as she added, ‘Thank you for loving me the way you do. For the most beautiful birthday and for reminding me what home feels like. I’ll find you in every lifetime baby, but I’m grateful I get this one by your side.’
Elsewhere in the note, the former professional soccer player said, ‘Reflecting back everything I’ve built, loved, lost and have become. I’ve learned that wisdom isn’t loud… it’s quiet, steady and full of grace.’

Ashlyn also received love from WWE star Nikki Bella, who added, ‘Happy Birthday!!! Love the caption! You’re such an amazing person! Hope all your bday wishes come true!!’
And Olympic ski racer Lindsey Vonn also left a message that read, ‘Happy birthday!! 40’s are the best!’
Samantha Ronson was booked as the DJ for the memorable occasion, and the party was attended by dozens of the retired athlete’s closest friends.
Among the partygoers was newly single Nina Dobrev, 36.
