Vanderpump Rules stars Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor have raised questions about their break up, with insiders claiming the pair have no plans to split for good – and could be using their relationship to build interest in their new Bravo show.
The couple announced their separation last month after nearly five years of marriage, with Brittany, 35, claiming she made the decision to take time away from Jax, 44, for the ‘sake of [her] mental health.’
Now, insiders have suggested their marriage is not ‘fractured’ and that their apparent estrangement is nothing but a ploy to create a ‘bigger drama’ than Tom Sandoval’s cheating scandal for their new reality show, The Valley.
‘They are not split nor are they going to split,’ a source told DailyMail.com.
Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor have not split for good, according to insiders, who claim their estrangement is good PR for their new Bravo show

‘They are working together and promoting their own spinoff show, and this is borderline hilarious that they are trying to act like it is over despite still being around each other all the time.
‘There is nothing fractured about them.’
The insider continued: ‘Jax and Brittany are pros at this game, and they know that no one would really care to see a show about their happy marriage because that is the story that their social media already sold.
‘This gives them a storyline to make things interesting because they know nothing will be able to beat out the Sandoval scandal right now.
‘Jax has even said himself that he doesn’t believe in divorce.’
DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Brittany and Jax for comment.
Last year, the pair – who have two-year-old son Cruz – discussed divorce on their joint podcast When Reality Hits with Jax & Brittany, with the businessman revealing: ‘I don’t believe in divorce.
‘My parents didn’t get divorced. I don’t believe in that. Marriage is work. I’m not saying every day is amazing.
An insider told DailyMail.com that the Vanderpump Rules stars’ apparent split ‘gives them a storyline to make things interesting’ (pictured with their two-year-old son Cruz)
‘There is nothing fractured about them,’ the insider claimed to DailyMail.com
‘There’s good days and there’s bad days, but that’s marriage, and that’s what makes your relationship stronger. We love hard. We fight hard. It’s amazing.’
Brittany used the podcast to announce their split on February 29, telling listeners: ‘Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.’
She also hinted the separation could be temporary, as she asked fans to ‘pray for us,’ before adding that she believes ‘everything will be just fine.’
Shortly after they announced their split, Jax was pictured leaving their marital home and heading to a property in Sherman Oaks where Brittany is living with their son.
Last month, the reality TV couple arrived separately to a March Madness party at Jax’s eponymous bar and restaurant.
The latest comes just weeks after the couple noticeably avoided each other all night at the premiere party for The Valley, which was held at Jax’s bar in Studio City

They didn’t spend time together all night, but Brittany told DailyMail.com that she still loves her husband.
‘I feel like I see Jax across the room and I’m like, “He looks so handsome,”‘ she said at the event. ‘I still love him very much. It’s a hard time, right? It’s still fresh, so yeah, it’s still fresh.
‘I don’t even know what it would mean for somebody to capture my heart now. I think it just is like, I don’t know. It’s too early to even think about.’
She continued: ‘I am still living in an AirBNB. Still taking my time for myself, trying to figure out what I want to do, if I want to go back into that relationship or if I decide I want to do something else.
‘And I never, ever, ever thought I would get to that point because I have literally been Jax’s ride or die.’
When asked if she would like a sibling for Cruz, with or without Jax, she replied: ‘Oh, for sure. Yeah. One more. One more probably.’
Jax and Brittany first met at a bar while vacationing in Las Vegas in early 2015 and went public on Instagram on May 25.
They got engaged in 2018, married in June 2019 and welcomed Cruz in 2021.
Jax admitted to being unfaithful in 2017.
Just weeks ago, Brittany gushed over Jax’s ‘handsome’ appearance and said she was still working out whether or not their marriage was over for good

Brittany recently denied that infidelity was the reason for their latest separation.
‘We just had our issues with fighting with each other,’ she told Daily Dish.
‘There wasn’t any infidelity. I know that’s been a rumor going around. It wasn’t anything like that.’
She continued: ‘It was just not a happy feeling, and I was like, losing my sparkle a little bit.
‘I started to notice that, and I think after I had my son, I woke up a little bit and it made me realize, like, he can’t grow up in this environment.’
More recently, Brittany confessed in a no-holds-barred interview that she ‘cannot stand’ Jax and lamented about how difficult it has been as his ‘ride-or-die.’
