The Veronicas’ Jessica Origliasso has documented the spine-tingling moment she allowed a huntsman spider to crawl over her face.
The 38-year-old recently shocked fans by performing with a spider sitting on her lips during the music video for The Veronicas’ latest single Perfect.
Posting to Instagram on Saturday, the singer uploaded a behind-the-scenes clip showing the moment a wildlife handler placed the insect – which she lovingly named ‘Hunter’ – onto her face.
‘Never thought I would fall in love with a spider – I was straight up arachnophobic before this!!’ the Queensland-born songstress wrote in her caption.
‘Almost everyone thought this was CGI in our @theveronicasmusic music video for ‘Perfect’ – so had to share more BTS videos with Hunter!!’

The hitmaker thanked the wildlife handler for teaching her about spiders, before sharing some interesting facts with her fans.
‘Huntsman spiders are considered quite a social species and their speed allows them to chase down and hunt a whole variety of prey! Despite this, they are quite reluctant to bite humans, and will usually try to run away rather than be aggressive,’ she wrote.
Jessica urged her followers not to kill these creatures if they find them at home, and instead ‘remove them peacefully.’

‘It’s actually true that these guys are more scared of you, than you are of them,’ she insisted.
Jessica concluded her post by gushing over her unique encounter, calling it ‘one of the best experiences’ of her ‘entire life’.
‘It’s also true that every Australian is born with the fearless spirit of Steve Irwin within them,’ she proudly added.
It wasn’t long before horrified fans flooded Jessica’s ‘triggering’ video with comments
