Smokey Robinson, 85, Accused of Sexual Battery by Man in Lawsuit

Smokey Robinson, 85, Accused of Sexual Battery by Man in Lawsuit

Smokey Robinson is facing new allegations from two additional former workers, who claim he engaged in repeated sexual misconduct during their employment.

A fifth Jane Doe and a John Doe are joining the ongoing lawsuit against the Motown singer, 85, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.

The unnamed male accuser claims that the Cruisin’ hitmaker once grabbed his hand and tried to force him to touch his erect genitals.

The two new accusers both claim they used to work as housekeepers for Robinson and his wife, Frances Gladney Robinson.

Robinson’s attorney, Christopher Frost, denied the latest allegations in a statement to Daily Mail, calling them ‘fabricated claims’ and alleged the new accusers are trying to ‘extract money from an 85-year-old legend.’

The full statement from Christopher Frost, founding partner, FROST LLP, read: ‘These plaintiffs are part of the same group of people who have conspired together against the Robinsons and are layering out their claims for maximum adverse publicity.

‘We have already explained in the Robinsons’ lawsuit against this group for defamation, civil conspiracy and elder abuse that, all along, this has been an organized, avaricious campaign to extract money from an 85-year-old legend. This group of people, who hide behind anonymity, and their attorneys seek global publicity while making the ugliest of false allegations,’ the rep added.

‘We have sought the Court’s intervention multiple times to require these anonymous individuals to divulge essential information, turn over relevant evidence, and to share deposition transcripts with the District Attorney. For obvious reasons, this group of Does and their attorneys refuse to be forthcoming with all the evidence possible to investigate their own claims. Once the public can see the truth, their avaricious motives and fabricated claims will be revealed.’

The iconic singer was first hit with a slew of allegations including rape, sexual battery, and false imprisonment in a bombshell lawsuit from his four former employees back in May.

He has since filed a countersuit against the initial four accusers, alleging extortion, defamation, and elder abuse.

Robinson’s new male accuser claims in the lawsuit that he began working for the musician and his wife at their Chatsworth residence around 2013.

He alleges that he would clean and detail their cars early in the morning, and that Robinson came out on multiple occasions wearing just his underwear, and would proceed to fondle his erect genitals in front of him.

He claims Robinson’s ‘sexual arousal was vivid and unmistakable during these incidents.’

He further alleges that the singer sometimes made sexually suggestive gestures and remarks towards him, and one time motioned for him to come into a nearby room.

The accuser says that he would reject the unwanted advances and tell Robinson to ‘put some clothes on.’

He alleges that in 2022, things escalated when Robinson grabbed his hand ‘without consent and attempted to force it onto his erect penis.’

He claims Robinson fired him following the alleged incident.

The accuser alleges that after a year, Robinson’s wife asked that he come back to work, and he agreed.

John Doe claims that upon his return, Robinson’s behavior — indecent exposure, fondling himself and making sexually suggestive remarks — continued.

The accuser claims that the sexual harassment caused him ‘humiliation, emotional distress, and ongoing fear for his safety and dignity.’

He claims he stopped working for the couple ‘after learning of similar conduct toward other victims and out of concern for his own well-being.’

Meanwhile the other new accuser, Jane Doe, claims she worked for the Robinsons as a housekeeper.

She alleges in the lawsuit that Robinson grabbed her hand and tried to force her to touch his erect genitals on more than 10 occasions.

In May, Robinson vehemently denied the initial allegations from the four women and told DailyMail.com he was ‘appalled’ by the lawsuit.

And in June, Robinson claimed the four ex-housekeepers were stalling a sexual assault lawsuit to sabotage his tour and force an ‘extortionate’ payout.

The singer’s legal team filed a motion seeking to compel one of the anonymous accusers, known only as Jane Doe. 2, to sit for a deposition – accusing the women of blocking evidence collection while Robinson is on the road.

The four plaintiffs who are suing Robinson have chosen to remain nameless and are referred to only as Jane Doe in the filings.

The civil suit, which also names Robinson’s wife Frances, accuses Robinson of a disturbing pattern of abuse and harassment spanning nearly two decades.

The alleged victims worked in his homes in Los Angeles and Las Vegas between 2007 and 2024.
