The musician 'passed peacefully' on June 18 aged 50 with his wife Linda beside him after suffering a 'serious stroke' a week earlier.
The stroke led to two surgeries at Albany Med in New York and special attention in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) before his passing.
And now the band have confirmed they are cancelling their entire UK tour which was scheduled for this September and October in light of his death.
Explaining they were taking some time out to grieve, they told fans: 'We are completely heartbroken over the tragic and untimely loss of our bandmate, brother-in-arms, and friend for 30 years, Justin Cary.
'The past three years had been full of international tours, recording new music, and an even further deepening of the joy of making music together.

'We were looking forward to connecting with new and old fans around the world this summer and fall, but for now we need time to be still and grieve.
'With heavy hearts, we are canceling all remaining tour dates for 2026.'
They added: 'Hundreds of pictures. Thousands of memories, 30 years worth. Thank you, Justin.
'There'll never be another you, sir. No one could pack a suitcase better or make us laugh harder.

'We don't know what is ahead, we never do, really. But for now, we must grieve our brother.
'Prayers are welcome for us all, especially his beautiful wife, Linda. We love you all so much and will see you again.'
Sixpence None the Richer was formed in Texas in 1992, then they moved to Nashville.
But Cary did not join the band until five years later. That is when the band's self-titled album was released.

Cary also worked with the Counting Crows and Lee Brice.
In 1997, the group signed to Steve Taylor's label Squint Entertainment and released a self-titled album, which was their big breakthrough.
In 1998, Kiss Me was released as a single, then they did the cover of The La's' There She Goes.
Squint Entertainment then had troubles which left the band without a label so they struggled for years before they finally released their album Divine Discontent in 2002.
They disbanded in 2004 but reunited in 2007. The following year they released the EP My Dear Machine in 2008 as well as the Christmas album, The Dawn of Grace.
In 2012 came their album, Lost in Transition.
