Sitcom Star Dons Bushy Beard at Wimbledon – Can You Guess Who?

This US sitcom actor looked worlds away from the character that catapulted him to superstardom during a rare public appearance at Wimbledon on Friday.

He made a name for himself in a show that was based on a UK classic and also helped launch the careers of John Krasinski, Steve Carrell and Mindy Kaling.

As the business blowhard the character soon became a fan favourite and left viewers in stitches as he attempted for a whopping nine seasons to become the boss of Dunder Mifflin.

For the role the actor won praise from critics as well as three Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

Elsewhere he has starred in movies including Oscar winners Almost Famous and Juno, as well as TV’s Star Trek: Discovery.

But can you guess who he is?

Of course it’s none other than The Office’s Rainn Wilson who played the iconic Dwight Schrute from 2005 until 2013.

The actor, 59, looked worlds away from his time on the show as he sported a bushy beards while attending the The All England Lawn Tennis Club.

Teaming his blazer with a bucket hat and shades he was joined in the stands by author wife Holiday Reinhorn, whom he married in 1995 and shares son Walter, 21.

It comes just hours after Rainn’s The Office co-star Craig Robinson – who played the character of Darryl Philbin in the hit series – took to Instagram to announce he was stepping away from comedy in order to pursue ‘something bigger.’

The actor, 53, first uploaded a clip while saying, ‘Hey, everybody! Just wanted you to hear it from me: I am quitting comedy.’

Craig continued, ‘But not for nothing. It’s been an amazing run and y’all have been amazing and wonderful. But I’m following something bigger. So, thank you so much. I love you and stay tuned.’

In the caption alongside the reel, he penned: ‘Life update: I’m officially quitting comedy to focus on my true calling. Stay tuned. I’m working on something huge.’

Craig then followed up with a second video to further tease his next career endeavor – although he has yet to unveil the exact details.
