The legendary singer, 79, and his son, 19, sang and snapped selfies in the crowd at Celtic Park, Glasgow.
The duo were in high spirits at the match with Rod’s beloved team beating Young Boys 1-0.
The rocker showed off his typically flamboyant fashion sense in a fur-trimmed leather jacket.
He teamed it with a smart white shirt and a black tie, layering over a double breasted blazer.
Meanwhile, Alastair opted for a beige jacket which he paired with a white shirt, black trousers and a striped tie.

Rod has eight children over 47 years by five different mothers, he shares Alastair and Aiden Patrick, 14, with his wife Penny Lancaster, 53, who he married in 2007.
He recently shared a snap of him and his family wearing Celtic football shirts ahead of his 80th birthday.
The singer took to Instagram to post the group shot which showed the clan posing on some steps on Sunday night.
He added the caption, ‘Early birthday celebrations’, and also tagged his beloved Celtic Football Club in the social media story.
Rod looked laid back in a green and white horizontal-striped replica Celtic football shirt and a crossbody bag with a black strap.
The Maggie May singer was sporting his signature spiky blond locks in the snap and had a pair of red rectangular glasses tucked into his collar.
His wife Penny was also wearing a Celtic top, pairing it with tight white shorts and a white cap adorned with a black X.
The singer’s son Sean, 44, joined the group wearing a white vest – which showed off his striking tattoos on his right arm – a green and blue tartan kilt and a matching cap.
He completed the look with a green and white striped replica Celtic scarf and had his arm around new girlfriend Julia Stambler, who was sporting a black vest.

Stewart’s two younger sons, Alastair Wallace, 19, and Aiden Patrick, 13, who he shares with Penny, were standing beside him in the family photo.
Also joining the sweet family shot was Rod’s son Liam Stewart, 30, and his wife Nicole Artukovich, who the ice hockey player married last year.
Stewart’s daughters Renee, 32, and Ruby, 37, were also both wearing football tops, with Ruby adding yellow shorts to the look.
Renee’s boyfriend Adam Sumner and Ruby’s fiance Jake Kalic were also seen in the picture.
The British rock icon turned 80 on January 10 and recently acknowledged his ‘days are numbered’ but said he had ‘no fear’ of death.
