Sia has revealed she recently underwent a facelift.
The Chandelier singer, 47, took to the stage at the 5th annual Daytime Beauty Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday to present her ‘good friend’ Dr. Talei with the Outstanding Achievement in Medicine award.
While issuing the award, the star, who is known for masking her face with a wig after admitting she struggles with body image in the face of being a pop star, revealed to the audience she had gone under the knife.
She said: ‘I’m a pop star that normally hides my face and doesn’t lie about s**t. I got an amazing face lift from Dr. Talei. He is incredible. And he is doing so much good work—and not just for the pop stars of the world.’
Dr. Talei meanwhile said: ‘I don’t know if you guys know how amazing Sia is as a person. We have a lot of common friends and it’s always shocking how many keep saying, ‘I love her, I love her, I love her. She’s amazing.’

Sia has been known to cover her face with various disguises since shooting to mainstream fame – having been in the music industry in 1995 – as she previously revealed she was determined not to be judged on her looks.
She said: ‘I don’t want to be critiqued about the way that I look on the internet. I’ve been writing pop songs for pop stars for a couple of years, and I’ve become friends with them and see what their life is like, and that’s not something I want.’
Now however, in recent years she has been showing her face more and on Sunday made the candid confession about her looks.
Elaborating on the work, she said: ”I was showing someone in the back my before-and-afters right before I came on. People go, “You look nice”…
‘I’m like, “Dr. Ben Talei, face lift” for like anything you could ever want. I love him, I can’t say enough good about him.’
Upon accepting the award, Dr Ben went on: ‘She really is, like you can see—a bright ray of sunshine and made my nieces and nephews’ days. She invited them over to her house for a big party, and the whole family loves her. I’m super grateful.’
He spoke about the secret to his work and his determination for a natural look, saying: ‘Instead of trying to be creative and make things up, you go back and just learn what people are supposed to look like inside…
‘If you know what they’re supposed to look like inside, outside looks normal. Like, beautiful inside, beautiful outside—it’s also natural inside, natural outside. So, you just respect the anatomy and that’s the easiest way to keep people natural.’
Wow! She made a bold statement with her look at the awards

Sia, who suffers from bipolar disorder, has spoken in the past about her body battles and admitted she ‘dieted like crazy’ to fit the ‘stereotype’ of a pop star.
She said: ‘I have dieted like crazy over the last 10 years. Trying to fit into the stereotype of, like, “Hot pop star.” Somebody did say, “You don’t have to be a model. You’re actually an artist … It literally doesn’t matter what you look like.”‘
The star, full name is Sia Kate Isobelle Furler, revealed in 2015 that she was aiming to shed the wigs which placed her in the spotlight.
She said: ‘‘As I had hoped and planned, it’s the blonde bob that’s become iconic. I am going to do prosthetics, so I’m going to alter my face slightly…
‘So you can’t really peg if I have had surgery, if I have had a little bit of weird surgery. I’m not going to do any kind of whacky stuff, I am still going to look like a human being’.
In 2018, she then revealed why she chose to cover her face with headwear during James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke Skit. She said: ‘I don’t wear this thing unless there are cameras around. Just trying to maintain a modicum of privacy.’
