A fan passed the hitmaker a zip-lock bag containing the ashes of their mother and asked the 24-year-old star to autograph it.

Holding the sandwich-sized bag up into the stage lights to take a look at its contents, Warren joked: ‘Our parents look identical, it’s incredible, that’s crazy.’

‘She’s in the zip-lock bag?’ he added.

‘That took me by surprise. Am I signing this like it’s a school lunch?’

The clip also shows Warren asking his group to play ‘some dead mum signing ashes music’.

After handing back the ashes to the delighted fan, Warren told the crowd: ‘What kind of special f***ed up group are we?’

Warren also shared his own feelings about his late parents onstage during the gig.

‘My name is Alex. My dad passed away when I was nine from cancer, and my mum drank herself to death,’ he told the crowd.

‘When I was nine years old, I felt so alone, yet surrounded by so many people.

‘People can say “I’m sorry”; they can offer their condolences and say they understand what it feels like. But unless you lose someone, you don’t really understand that part of you that’s missing.’

During the show, he played his hit tune Ordinary and introduced it as a song ‘about my dead parents’.

It comes after Warren appeared on UK TV in March and revealed intimate details about his dramatic childhood.

During the emotional interview, the performer talked about losing his father as a small boy and his life as a homeless teen.

Appearing on ITV talk show Lorraine, the star opened up about his past, including how his late alcoholic mother was abusive to him.

Alex’s father, whose name he has kept private, died from kidney cancer when he was just nine years old.

The star was then kicked out of his home by his mother when he was just 18 years old – rendering him homeless.

His mother then died in 2021 from kidney and renal failure after years of suffering from alcohol addiction.

During the interview, Warren said: ‘I just knew something was going to work out. My dad passed away when I was young, and my mum was an alcoholic and abusive.

Continuing his story, Alex explained that during his shows he asks his fans if they relate to his songs about losing a parent, which many do, and calls it a ‘moving moment’.

Alex originally rose to fame through social media, launching his career on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.

He is also the co-founder of the creator collective The Hype House and built his fan base on his content in the house documenting pranks and challenges.
