Britain’s Got Talent fans were left in complete fury following Canadian comedian Kevin Finn’s ‘insulting’ act on Thursday night.

Despite impressing fans with his original audition last week, Kevin didn’t go down a hit during the fourth live semi-final.

Most viewers claimed they didn’t even crack a smile or a giggle during his performance because of his ‘inappropriate jokes’ about English accents.

One fan insisted Kevin’s performance ‘should have been shut down immediately’ after he ‘insulted women and Liverpudlian accents with cliche-ridden stereotypes’.

Simon Cowell, who pressed his red buzzer during the act, brutally told Kevin he ‘will be disappointed in himself’ when he watches his performance back.

He said: ‘Look, I’m sorry I pressed the buzzer. Like I said before, we feed off the audience. When a comedian is working, you can feel it within about 10 seconds.

‘Without being rude, the audition felt like it went on forever. And it didn’t start well, the end maybe was better but honestly you’re going to be disappointed I think when you watch this back because you’re better than that.’

Fans flooded X, formerly known as Twitter, in fury and disappointment, penning: ‘That was the worst comedian they’ve ever put on stage #BGT’

‘Just switched on to #BGT to see a bang average singer followed by a “comedian” who said nothing funny during his whole act. B ain’t GT if these are anything to go by.’

‘Insulting women and regional English accents is not comedy Kevin. The segment on Liverpudlian accents should have got him shut down immediately with its cliche-ridden stereotypes. An American comedian without decent material. Go home.’

Despite his negative feedback, some viewers sympathised with the comedian, claiming he purely just had a one-off bad performance.

Some wrote: ‘I feel so bad for that comedian. It just all felt a bit manic and the accents thing just went on way too long. Should’ve been part of his act rather than the entire segment.’

‘That comedian…. I feel bad for him’

‘You know what, most up and coming comedians get booed off stage, heckled, perform in comedy clubs to an audience of five etc. before they have a break and make it. ‘

‘Tough to come on as a comedian. Hope he doesn’t give up. Just not his night tonight’

‘Well done to the comedian for trying his absolute best!! #bgt #britainsgottalent’
