Simon Cowell was in high spirits as he arrived at the America’s Got Talent set in Pasadena, California on Wednesday.

The music mogul, 65, cut a casual figure in his signature dark grey, fitted T-shirt, which he teamed with baggy cut-off shorts.

He completed his outfit with a pair of chunky trainers and shielded his eyes with sunglasses.

Flashing a smile, Simon took some time to greet fans who had patiently waited outside the studio in the sun.

The show, which is being judged by Simon, Howie Mandel, Mel B and Sofia Vergara saw four more people progress into September’s semi-final.

Results revealed that acts Micah Palace, Mastermind, Jessica Sanchez, and Chris Turner would go through.

The artists that move ahead in NBC’s talent competition will return to the stage on September 16, to compete in the top 12.

The remaining few will be determined during the next two weeks of the competition as the live shows continue.

Last week, Simon shared a rare picture of his lookalike son Eric, 11, as they filmed backstage at America’s Got Talent ahead of the show’s quarter-finals.

The business mogul appeared in happy spirits as he posed alongside his child, who he shares with fiancée Lauren Silverman, 48, and his pet chihuahua, Daisy.

Sharing an album of snaps to Instagram, Simon wore a black T-shirt while his son sported a bright blue jersey which had the show’s named printed across the front.

Alongside his album, the show judge penned: ‘Everyone’s happy’.

Simon and Lauren, who is also a mother to another child from a previous relationship, welcomed Eric into the world in February 2014.

Eric appeared on one of his father’s shows in 2020 as he was spotted at Britain’s Got Talent.

Earlier this year, Simon revealed his biggest fear for his son Eric in an emotional This Morning interview.

The showbusiness veteran appeared on the ITV show and spoke to Jeff Brazier, 46, about being a dad.

As the youngster continues to get older, there is one topic that Simon worries about as a father – his son having a mobile phone.

Simon told Jeff: ‘I’m very worried, Jeff, about how much kids can see at a certain age.

‘I grew up… learning things at the right time, the right age, etcetera etcetera. I just would be petrified of him having access to anything, that would really worry me.’
