showed off the nasty impact of her thrilling new Jack Ryan role in a new Instagram post on Wednesday, after confessing she 'threw herself' at star  to get a part in the film.

The actress, 44, returned to work just three weeks after the birth of her second child with partner Oli Green to promote her role in the thriller, which follows up on the TV series of the same name.

Jack Ryan: Ghost War was released on Prime Video on Wednesday, and to celebrate, Sienna has shared a collection of behind-the-scenes snaps on Instagram.

The post showed Sienna's nasty arm bruises from the set, as well as a video that showed her attempts to brandish a prop gun going awry as she dropped the magazine.

She captioned the post: 'Do an action movie, they said…it’ll be fun, they said…I love these people dearly ♥️ Jack Ryan is out now on @primevideo.' 

Sienna also shared a beaming selfie from a dinner with her co-star John, after sharing the hilarious methods she went to in a bid to get the part.

The star is close friends with John's wife , and during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring , she shared how she landed the role in the Jack Ryan series.

She said: 'Emily Blunt - I'm going to name drop her - is one of my best friends.

'And [her husband] John Krasinski for her 40th birthday took 10 of us to an island, it was really quite beautiful. And we had several cocktails and I was having a moan about being in independent films that seven people see.'

'And I was like, ''I just need to do an action film.'' And John and Emily looked at each other and were like, ''Yes, Jack Ryan.''

'I literally threw myself at [Krasinski] to get this part. And then he wrote it for me and it was very sweet.'

Jack Ryan: Ghost War follows on from the TV series of the same name, and follows the title character after departing the CIA and returning to civilian life, with Miller joining as new character, MI6 officer Agent Marlow. 

During her Tonight Show appearance, Sienna also confessed she's surviving on 'very little sleep' as she opened up on returning to work just three weeks after giving birth.

She also shared a snap from her dinner with co-star John Krasinski, who is married to her best friend Emily Blunt after confessing in an interview she 'threw herself' at him to land the role

The British actress returned to business as usual with her glamorous chat show appearance just three weeks after welcoming the tot with boyfriend Oli Green, 29.

The couple are already parents to a two-year-old daughter, while Sienna is also mum to daughter Marlowe, 13, whom she shares with ex-fiancé . 

During her appearance on the show she opened up about the transition of having another child and spoke about her nightmare flight over to the US to promote new action movie Jack Ryan: Ghost War.

Sienna said: 'It feels like stringing sentences together is a bit challenging. I'm on very little sleep but I'm madly in love with my baby.

'It's crazy to be talking words and wearing a dress. What has happened from pajama gate.' 

Asked by the host which of her children are tougher to look after, she said: 'I would have said the teenage girl would be harder to juggle until the transatlantic flight I took yesterday with the toddler and the newborn. 

'The toddler now wins hands down. It was an absolute disaster. There's no negotiating.

'I got to the immigration line and just broke down.'

Sienna announced that she had welcomed her second child with Oli, telling E! News last week: 'It's happened. I have a tiny baby next door. It feels like stringing sentences together is a bit challenging...

'I'm on very little sleep but I'm madly in love with my baby.'

She is currently blazing the promo trail with her latest movie, Jack Ryan: Ghost War, and announced the sweet news to the publication in her promotional interview.  

Sienna announced her third pregnancy by revealing her blossoming bump at the star-studded Fashion Awards in December. 

It was only right for the actress to make her revelation with a statement look on the blue carpet outside the Royal Albert Hall in London. 

And it is not the first time Sienna has used the red carpet at a fashion event to announce she is .

Back in September 2023, Sienna  

The actress walked the red carpet at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane in a Schiaparelli puffball skirt and a cropped shirt which showcased her baby bump.

Previously speaking about Oli, Sienna told Harper's Bazaar: 'I didn't expect to take it seriously and then quite quickly, I fell in love. 

'I wasn't like, "I'm gonna get a younger boyfriend." It was more, "F***! Why are you young? That's so annoying."  

'There is a difference in the way that generation of men respect women. It's specific to him, he is very wise and well-adjusted, but I do believe it's also that generation.

'They have grown up with a slightly more level playing field. I see it in his female friends as well as in the men.'
