Shredding Together: Jules and Guy’s Body Transformation

Jules Sebastian and her husband Guy have overhauled their health six years ago and have stuck to their new lifestyle ever since.

The stylist revealed that the pair were inspired to start their fitness journey when Guy was being photographed for the cover of Men’s Health.

The 44-year-old and her 42-year-old spouse struggled at first, Jules told Body and Soul magazine.

‘It was a very busy time for us and I remember being out at a concert, and there was this huge cheese platter and champagne flowing, and Guy and I were just staring at the food holding each other, saying “don’t do it, don’t do it!”‘ she said.

‘I love food and I love bad food – hot chips and carbs are my weakness,’ she added.

Over time, the pair learned to make better choices and substitute unhealthy food for the good stuff.

‘Each meal time it’s a decision for me; ‘Am I going to go for the healthy option or am I going to go for the unhealthy option’ she explained.

‘If I go out for breakfast I weigh up the French toast or pancakes against the avocado smash and poached eggs. It’s still delicious, but just not full of sugar and bad stuff.’

Jules says she has seen a change in not only her body but her mind.

‘Hand on my heart I can say that it has changed my life. It sounds so dramatic but it really has’ she said.

‘More than the body transformation, It’s how I feel. I have more energy, I am happier, I’m in a better mood, I’m better for my kids, I’m a better mum, I’m a better wife. My mind is really clear.’

The mother-of-two earlier revealed to FEMAIL that by making her health a priority, she managed to get rid of stubborn inches from her waistline and debut her best body yet – all in just eight weeks.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Jules revealed exactly how she did it, as well as the daily diet that keeps her lean and in shape.

Jules explained that she first decided to take charge of her health a year ago when  Guy was working towards appearing topless on the cover of Men’s Health.

‘I tagged along to the training session and the rest is history,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

‘We both decided to take on the Eight Weeks to Wow program with Em & Chief because I felt sluggish and not great about myself. I’d had two babies and was every woman’s story.

‘I said I didn’t have time to exercise, but really I wasn’t making my health a priority.’

Jules said that she her partner soon fell headfirst into a strict diet and exercise plan that saw them work out six times each week.

Jules and Guy also went cold turkey on sugar, carbohydrates and alcohol.

‘It was pretty hardcore. We stopped doing all the things we loved doing. It was all about mental strength,’ she said.

But once Jules said she started ‘making a shift in my brain’, she began to notice the results.

‘The first week was the hardest, with all the withdrawal symptoms from sugar,’ she said.

‘But I was strict. For me, it had to be a rule. I would eat no sugar, carbohydrates or alcohol – there could be no grey area or cheat day.’

And after three weeks, she began to notice little changes.

‘I couldn’t see the results just yet, but I could feel something happen in my body,’ Jules said.

‘I had more energy, my stomach was flatter and my mind was clearer. Physically, my body had taken shape.’

By the time the eight-week training period was up, the mum-of-two said she knew ‘this is how I should be living’.
