This is the shocking moment Mark Hamill’s trousers fell down while he was presenting an award at the BAFTAs on Sunday evening.
The 73-year-old Star Wars actor was left scrambling after his suit trousers suddenly dropped to his knees while he was presenting the Best Film gong at London’s star-studded Royal Festival Hall.
And while a lectern stopped him from flashing the millions of people who were tuning in to watch on TV, the first few rows, which were packed full of A-listers, seemingly saw more than they bargained for.
An insider who was allegedly amongst the stars in the front row, told The Sun: ‘Mark started speaking then his suit trousers just dropped to his knees. It was like they were too big for him.
‘All the big stars such as Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Adrien Brody would have seen it from their angle. Most guests looked horrified but said nothing.
The source added: ‘They were turning to each other wide-eyed as if to say, did that just happen?’

However, Mark handled the awkward blunder like a pro and didn’t stop as he made his way through the speech.
He began by saying: ‘If you’re in the room like me, you must love film – so what makes us love cinema so much that we’re all gathered here to celebrate tonight.
‘For me, it’s that films create worlds so vivid and stories so powerful that we lose ourselves completely.’
But as he reached the end of that sentence, he seemed alarmed and reached down to grab his trousers and pull them back into place completely.’
While getting his outfit back in tact, he smoothly continued: ‘They create immersive cinematic landscapes that feel live whether they’re set here in London or anywhere you imagine they can take you.’
He then went on to read out the nominations list for Best Film before announcing Conclave as the winner.
Mikey Madison and Adrien Brody scooped top gongs for Best Actor and Actress at 2025 BAFTAs, while Conclave and The Brutalist equally led the pack with four awards at the star-studded ceremony on Sunday.
For his starring role in The Brutalist and her lead part in Independent film Anora, Adrien, 51, and Mikey, 25, accepted their awards on stage at The Royal Festival Hall.

The Brutalist won four awards including Adrien’s Best Actor, impressive Best Director gong for the well-deserving Brady Corbet, Best Cinematography gong and Best Original Score.
Acknowledging the ‘British public’, Adrien shared a moving tribute to England, admitting ‘It’s felt quite a bit like home lately’.
He said: ‘I am so grateful. I want to thank the British public for embracing me and my creative endeavors. It is incredibly meaningful as England has felt quite a bit like home lately. I will cherish this, thank you all’.
Brady said: ‘I am humbled and very grateful, there is no such thing as best director, it’s like a joke.’
Receiving the BAFTA for Outstanding British Film for Conclave, director Edward Berger said: ‘It is a huge honour, outstanding British film, and I’m not even from here! I feel so welcome in your midst. We live in a time of crisis for democracy. Institutions that used to bring us together are used to pull us apart.
‘Sometimes it is hard to keep the faith in that situation, but that’s why we make movies and that’s why we made this movie.’
