Shock turn in Succession star Nicholas Braun’s DUI drama months after he was arrested

Succession star Nicholas Braun, beloved by fans of the show as Cousin Greg aka ‘Greg the Egg,’ has had his DUI arrest expunged.

Braun, 37, was arrested in New Hampshire over Labor Day weekend last year and charged with DUI-impairment as well as operating without lights in the evening.

He was released on his own recognizance, with the proviso that he abstain from alcohol as well as any narcotics or controlled substances.

The charges against him were dropped in November, and it emerged that his toxicology report showed a blood alcohol level within the legal limit.

Now, a spokesman for the New Hampshire Judicial Branch has confirmed to the Daily Mail that the judge granted a petition of annulment on December 10.

Exactly one week later on December 17, the certificate of annulment was issued, striking the whole imbroglio from Braun’s record.

The Daily Mail has contacted Braun’s representative and the police department prosecutor for comment.

Braun was arrested while driving a Hyundai Tucson in Marlborough, New Hampshire on the night of August 30, 2025, the Saturday of Labor Day weekend.

The actor, who was born on Long Island but lives in Los Angeles, was visiting the area of his run-in with the law for a wedding, according to Page Six sources.

At around 11:15pm, the Moultonborough Police Department booked him at the Carroll County Jail, which is about two hours’ drive from Boston.

The police camera was reportedly malfunctioning, so Braun was spared the indignity of a mugshot before being released on his own recognizance without having to post bail roughly an hour after he was taken into custody, insiders told TMZ.

Braun, who owns a number of bars and restaurants in New York City, was court-ordered to refrain from ‘any use of alcohol, and use of any narcotic drug or controlled substance’ as a condition of his release.

In mid-September, he pled not guilty to both charges against him – a driving without lights violation and misdemeanor DUI, per court documents.

He achieved a legal victory on November 4 when the charges against him were dismissed, in court documents viewed by the Daily Mail.

The toxicology report indicated that his blood alcohol concentration was under New Hampshire’s 0.08 limit for motorists older than 21, via People.

Braun became a TV favorite on Succession as Greg Hirsch, winning two Screen Actors Guild awards and earning three Emmy nominations for the role.

Greg starts off as a dorky and slightly hapless odd man out, the cousin of the four children of domineering media tycoon Logan Roy (Brian Cox).

As Logan’s younger children Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Shiv (Sarah Snook) and Roman (Kieran Culkin) vie to inherit his empire, Greg is at first left to lurk on the sidelines.

However he insinuates himself as the sidekick of Shiv’s husband Tom (Matthew Macfadyen), and the two men reveal an increasingly pronounced killer instinct.

Braun is also a restaurateur who owns such New York City locations as Ray’s Bar, Jac’s on Bond, Pebble Bar and S&P Lunch.
