Shock Break-Up Shakes Bec Judd’s Brighton Set Amid Mansion Sale

Shock Break-Up Shakes Bec Judd’s Brighton Set Amid Mansion Sale

When you think of Melbourne’s elite, the first place that comes to mind is the famous ‘Golden Mile’ on Brighton’s foreshore.

When it’s not in the news for home invasions, this stretch of millionaires’ row is a magnet for Victorian socialites, with famous locals including Bec and Chris Judd.

While jaw-dropping property deals are nothing new in the Bayside area, one fairly recent sale has the local rumour mill spinning with speculation.

Notable residents Zana Pali and Gianni Romano sold their $10million resort-style pad on the strip – complete with a basement nightclub – in the middle of last year.

The married property developers rose to fame as contestants on Channel Seven cooking show My Kitchen Rules in 2016 when they were both hotshot young lawyers.

After the show, Zana went on to become a fashion influencer of sorts, while she and Gianni made serious coin in real estate. They also welcomed two sons.

But cracks in their once-picture-perfect family life have started to show, with local gossips telling us they no longer follow each other on Instagram.

Not exactly something you’d expect from a happily married couple.

Furthermore, a cursory glance at Zana and Gianni’s respective social media profiles shows plenty of snaps of them with their boys – but none of them as a couple.

‘It looks like they’ve deleted pics of them together. And before that, we hadn’t seen them together for a few months,’ says one Brighton spy.

While we don’t know for sure what happened between them, the fact they have abandoned their annual tradition of jetting off on a family holiday to Europe says it all.

Rather than flying out as a family, Zana travelled to The Balkans with the couple’s two children without Gianni earlier this month.

But the clearest hint that their marriage may be over is Zana’s appearance on a list of ‘Melbourne’s most eligible bachelorettes’, published in the Herald Sun last weekend.

One wouldn’t expect a married woman to make a list of notable bachelorettes, yet the article, penned by gossip columnist Jackie Epstein, made no mention of a split.

Zana – who, along with Bec, has been one of the leading voices calling out the Victorian government’s supposed inaction in fighting the ‘crime wave’ sweeping Brighton – was clearly thrilled with the feature, reposting the article on her Instagram on Sunday.

The article is said to be the talk of Bayside, with the social set ‘puzzled’ that Zana would seemingly announce her separation in such an oblique way.

‘She says nothing about splitting with her husband then a year later is one of Melbourne’s “hot bachelorettes”. It’s honestly so bizarre,’ said one gossip.

‘But if that’s how she wants to announce it, then fair play to her.’

Zana and Gianni had wed in 2014 on Hayman Island. They welcomed sons Leo and Romeo in 2018 and 2020, respectively.

After the house languished on the market for more than three months, they pulled the listing. But last July, they re-listed it with a revised guide of $9.5million-$10.4million.

Zana and Gianni have been involved in real estate development for more than a decade, so some assumed it was just another money-making move when the home sold for about $10million last August.

Now, there is talk of more going on behind the scenes. Zana was contacted for comment.
