The legendary stepped out for lunch at her favorite restaurant, Kristy's Village Cafe, not far from her longtime Malibu, home on Wednesday.

The eccentric Oscar winner - who turned 92 on April 24 - was dressed down in a purple cardigan over a blue T-shirt and black pants as she was joined at Trancas Country Market by a mystery male companion.

Past celebrity diners at Kristy's Village Cafe have included , , Michael Madsen, and Brandon Jenner.

On February 19, Deadline reported that MacLaine (born Shirley MacLean Beaty) signed on to play Curious George creator Margret Rey, who discovers an unlikely confidant, in Matthew Weiner's upcoming film Margret and Stevie.

That same month, the NY Times bestselling author co-starred with and Thomas Haden Church in Howard Deutch's New Mexico-set road trip comedy Lucy Boomer, which is based on the novel by Russell Hill.

It's unclear when audiences will get to see MacLaine play Atlantic City widow Clare in Brad Furman's family-funded indie drama People Not Places, which she also shot last summer.

The silver-haired actress was honored with a lifetime achievement award by the Dance Hall of Fame in Culver City, California on December 3.

'My mother took me to dancing class when I was three because I had weak ankles and I fell in love with it,' MacLaine said in her acceptance speech.

'But here's what it also included - discipline, love of music, a sense of cooperation with other people, being on time. And from that day on, I went to class every day until in my 60s. I would have to say that dance, what I've learned being part of it is why I'm still here.'

The 69-year-old actress welcomed two children - son Frank, 29, and daughter Arin, 27 - during her 18-year marriage to investment banker Frank Murray, which ended in 2011.
