HAPPY Mondays star Shaun Ryder says he has no intention of coming off fat jabs — due to fears he could put weight back on.
The singer, 63, has shed more than two stone since being prescribed the weight loss drugs.
Shaun said: “Yes, I still do them. When you’ve got an underactive thyroid, if you just had lettuce and strawberries, you’d still be 26stone.”
The Pills ’n’ Thrills and Bellyaches star says the only way he will stop taking Ozempic is if he starts to resemble a “screaming skull”.
Speaking in support of this year’s Stand Up To Cancer campaign, Shaun said: “There’s a lot of people that take those jabs and they look more unhealthy and they’re too thin.
“You look like either a baghead or a crackhead. I have full body alopecia, I’m riddled with arthritis, no testosterone.
“I’m on more drugs now than I ever was. But they’re all legal and very healthy.”
As well as the jabs, he is refusing to give up his biggest love — being on stage.
Shaun, said: “I’ve still performed with the flu when we’re on tour.
“Regardless of if you had your leg chopped off, or whatever, you don’t sack off shows.”
Speaking to The Sun back in 2023 following his stint in the South African I’m A Celeb jungle, Shaun admitted the TV show made him re-evaluate his health.
Shaun said: “Being 60 with hip problems, thyroid problems, f***ing testosterone problems and everything else.
“People have noticed I don’t have any f***king eyebrows and eyelashes, from my alopecia.
“Basically, you know, the jungle slapped me right across the face and said calm down mate.”
