Shaughna Phillips had a ‘big cry’ on Father’s Day as she remembered her late dad Eddie and paid tribute to her daughter Lucia.
The Love Island star, 30, was candid about her struggles as she broke down in tears on Sunday, admitting that missing her beloved dad had taken on ‘a whole new meaning’ since she became a parent herself 14 months ago.
The reality TV personality shared a selfie with a fake lash on her cheek and told fans she had ‘a big cry’ while marking the occasion.
Posting on her Instagram Story, she wrote: ‘Finished Father’s Day strong. A big cry, lost a strip lash, found it on my cheek. Sometimes it do be like that.’ (sic)
Shaughna’s also posted a sweet snap of Lucia wearing a T-shirt saying ‘Happy Father’s Day Daddy’ in tribute to TV star’s ex Billy Webb, who is serving nine years in prison after admitting conspiracy to supply 4.5kg of cocaine worth £360,000.

Shaughna accompanied the moving post with a lengthy caption: ‘SIMPLY THE BEST. Happy Father’s Day to our daddies and grandads.
‘Missing my dad since becoming a parent myself has taken on a whole new meaning. Obviously I knew he loved me, but I never understood just how visceral a parent’s love is until I became one.
‘I wish my baby got to meet Grandad Eddie, but she is so lucky to have Grandad Tony here to wrap around her little finger, and her guardian angel in heaven to keep her safe always.
‘Watching Lucia with her daddy today heals my heart a little bit, knowing just how much she is loved and how much she loves us is all I’ll ever ask for, and all I’ll ever need.’
Shaughna had to become a single parent after Lucia’s father, Billy Webb, was charged with one count of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and one count of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs in January 2023.
Billy was arrested in a drugs raid and was sentenced to nine years in jail last November after admitting conspiracy to supply 4.5kg of cocaine worth at least £360,000.
Shaughna had no knowledge of any activity but she is determined Lucia has a relationship with her father and has previously discussed how she takes her daughter to see Billy in prison once a week.

Shaughna shared a quote on her stories, reading: ‘I would choose my dad to be my dad in every lifetime again and again,’ and added her own comment penning: ’22 years is not even close to what we should have had.
‘Grateful for every second I had you on this earth. The love will never die.’
Shaughna also didn’t miss a tribute to Lucia’s grandfather Tony.
Sharing a sweet pic of the duo, the doting mother wrote: ‘This picture of Lucia and Grandad Tony was supposed to be uploaded with today Father’s Day post! We love you!’
Shaughna has previously defended her choice to take Lucia to visit her dad Billy in jail.
In an interview with OK! Magazine, she said: ‘It’s not a decision I made lightly and I won’t lie, the first time I took her was really scary and daunting.
‘I don’t think it hit me what was happening until I got into the building. I was so nervous but it was never a question for me. I always knew I was going to take Lucia to visit her dad.
‘Although it’s the last place on earth I’d hope to take a baby, I just felt like I owed it to her. Billy’s obviously missed out on a lot in her life due to his actions but I was never going to stand in the way of him being a dad.
Shaughna said she feels the bond Lucia has with Billy is just as important as the one she has with her mother.
Billy will be allowed out of prison on day release when Lucia is 16 months old.
She added: ‘I know people might not agree, but if she was older I think I would struggle more with my decision. If she was more aware of her surroundings it would be difficult taking her to see him.
‘It’s not nice and you get searched by sniffer dogs. I’m grateful, in a strange way, that this all happened when it did.’
Shaughna and Billy began their romantic relationship in 2020, however she kept him largely hidden from social media to protect his privacy.
Billy was eventually arrested when she was 30 weeks pregnant with Lucia.
The ITV star gave birth to Lucia in April 2023, taking to social media to announce the happy news at the time.
