Shatner, 94, and Ex-Wife Fuel Remarriage Rumors with Diamond Ring

William Shatner and his ex-wife Elizabeth Martin fueled remarriage rumors after she stepped out wearing a diamond band on her ring finger in Los Angeles.

The Star Trek legend, 94, and Martin, who divorced in 2019 but reunited during the pandemic, were spotted dining at Jon & Vinny’s in North Hollywood last week. 

An eyewitness told the Daily Mail that the couple arrived in separate cars, but spent more than an hour together inside the restaurant before leaving. 

The onlooker noted that Shatner brought along his two beloved Dobermans, who waited in his vehicle during the meal.

For their laid-back outing, Shatner kept it casual in a checked shirt, blue pants and sneakers, while his partner wore a black skirt, white top, red shoes and a wide-brimmed hat. 

The band on her left hand drew attention, prompting questions over whether the pair may have quietly remarried.

The duo finalized their divorce in March 2020 after calling it quits over ‘irreconcilable differences’ following 18 years of marriage. 

In a March 2024 interview with Parade, Shatner addressed the subject, saying he and Martin had ‘in effect remarried’ but had not held another ceremony.

He suggested, at the time, that a legal marriage was unlikely, citing practical reasons tied to their 2019 separation.

‘The reasons we divorced were many, but none of them had to do with distaste. It had to do with more practical things that I want to avoid happening [again], so that’s what I did,’ he explained. 

They have been living together for several years since reconciling.  

Neither Shatner nor Martin has commented on whether they made a second trip down the aisle together.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Shatner’s representatives for comment but has not yet heard back. 

In February, a source told RadarOnline.com that Shatner was planning to remarry Martin.

‘He was so lonely without Elizabeth. He has realized he doesn’t want to be without her ever again, and she feels the same way,’ the insider claimed. 

They emphasized: ‘He can’t stop gushing about her. They’re like two teenagers in love.’ 

The insider also alleged that they ‘don’t want a big fancy shindig this time around’ but were ‘planning a small commitment ceremony in front of just family and close friends.’ 

Shatner’s rep denied the claims to RadarOnline.com. 

Martin, a retired horse rider and trainer, is Shatner’s fourth wife. 

They initially met following the death of Shatner’s third wife, Nerine Kidd, who tragically drowned in their swimming pool in 1999. 

After rekindling, a source told the outlet that their time ‘really made him appreciate what he has with Elizabeth.’ 

‘He treats her like a total queen now,’ the source added. ‘Although Bill’s a big romantic, he’s also a very pragmatic guy, so he’s pushing for this to be a spiritual thing without any official paperwork.’ 

In 2023, he told The Mirror that Martin is ‘the zest of life’ and ‘brings the flavor’ to their relationship.
