Travis Barker’s ex-wife Shanna Moakler revealed she has been using a weight-loss drug after turning to food for comfort following the death of both her parents.
After struggling with the loss of her mother, Gail, in January 2023 and father, John, just seven months later, the 49-year-old reality star recalled falling into ‘a very, very dark place.’
‘I stopped dieting. I stopped exercising. I just ate like s**t,’ the mom-of-three recalled to People. ‘I was so devastated, and I missed my f**king mom and dad. I was like, ‘I’m going to f**king eat the pain away.”
She noted her diet became worse after also enduring an uptick in paparazzi when news broke that her former spouse’s wife, Kourtney Kardashian, was hospitalized for emergency surgery to save her baby’s life.
‘It was on another level, and I didn’t know how to deal [with it],’ she explained of the ‘Kardashian media circus.’ ‘I was sad. And I just missed my parents so much.’

Although she did not specify how many pounds she shed since beginning to take Mounjaro, Moakler, who has been showing off her noticeably frame on Instagram, said the weight loss has helped her feel more like herself again.
During the interview, the Tv personality also insisted that she is ‘more than just the ex-wife of famous men.’
‘I don’t think anyone has a clue about who I am,’ she began. ‘I was Miss USA at 19. I’m smart. Every part I’ve ever got in any movie, or every show I hosted or auditioned for, I worked my f**king ass off to get.’
The former pageant queen continued: ‘I also don’t have to like the f**king Kardashians, and I’m honestly sick of talking about them. As I stand here today, as a mature woman who’s gone through all that… I do not give a f**k what anyone thinks of me anymore. I’m proud of who I am.’
Back in 2020, Moakler also opened up about embarking on a weight-loss journey after gaining 40 pounds.
At the time, Moakler said she ‘was super unhappy, miserable and I was working out like an animal with no results.’
After saying she got a ‘mommy makeover’ from plastic surgeon, Leif Rogers, she began workign with a nutritionist who got her ‘eating properly.’
‘I stopped eating for emotional pleasure and started eating to fuel my body,’ she said of how she trimmed down. ‘There was no easy fix, there was no overnight plan… but I had an awesome team and I now just work out daily, I still eat healthy but allow myself some good stuff, and I’ve learned soooo much from the whole experience the last two years!’

Prior to her four-year marriage to Barker, which was documented on their reality show Meet the Barkers, she dated Oscar De La Hoya, who is the father of her 25-year-old daughter Atiana.
She shares her youngest two children Landon, 20, and Alabama, 18, with Barker.
Since Barker moved on with Kardashian, Moakler has made many shocking allegations about the Blink-182 drummer’s alleged infidelities.
Earlier this year, she claimed on an episode of the Dumb Blonde podcast that Barker sent text messages between her then-husband and his now-sister-in-law Kim Kardashian in the late days of their marriage.
The messages allegedly showed Travis, 48, trying to set up a tryst at one of Kim’s sisters’ houses to ‘f***.’
Shanna, who has made similar claims in the past, also said she ‘caught’ the rocker with Lindsay Lohan during their relationship. Both Travis and Kim have strongly denied ever having a relationship in the past.

According to Shanna, she and Travis were ‘working’ to fix their relationship at the time she was sent the text messages.
‘They were trying to meet up at her sister’s house to f***,’ she said, without specifying if that was the house of Travis’ future wife Kourtney Kardashian or Kim’s other sister Khloé (their half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner weren’t even teenagers at the time).
Shanna didn’t share which third party had allegedly sent her the messages, or how they came to be in possession of them.
She added that once she shared the messages with Travis, he allegedly deleted the original versions on his phone and told her, ‘I don’t see anything’ when he made a show of looking for them with her.
Shanna said she called Kim up to confront her about the messages, only for Kim to deny them by allegedly saying, ‘I don’t like white guys.’
‘I was like, “You’ll f*** anyone to be famous.” … Travis and I never really recovered from that. I felt stupid,’ Moakler said.

Barker has previously denied having a romantic relationship with Kardashian in his 2015 memoir Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death, And Drums, Drums, Drums, in which he wrote that he and his future sister-in-law had dined out together for lunches and dinners.
Although he admitted to being infatuated with the reality TV icon, he said their friendship didn’t escalate to anything physical.
Kim also denied any affair in 2021 after Shanna previously made similar claims.
‘False narrative!’ she said of the alleged hookup. ‘[Travis and I have] been friends for years and I’m so happy for him and Kourt.’
The drummer has been married since 2022 to Kim’s older sister Kourtney Kardashian, 44.
He and Shanna tied the knot in 2004 but separated in 2006, only to continue their marriage on and off until divorcing in 2008.

Last month while appearing on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, she stated that she and Barker ‘get along’ and confirmed that she congratulated him and his wife on the birth of their baby, Rocky.
Still, she confessed co-parenting previously felt like a ‘competition’ over who was the better parent.
‘But I gave up, I was never really trying to compete. I gave that up a long time ago,’ she explained. ‘I was like, “You win. Like you’re the winner.”‘
‘I think it really comes from like when you’re dealing with like a narcissist or you’re dealing with a controlling personality,’ she added.
She acknowledged that Barker is a ‘very powerful famous person,’ which made it hard to ‘compete on that level.’
