Shania Twain has given an insight into her bizarre diet and exercise regime as she prepared for her third Las Vegas residency.
The singer, 58, revealed she is far from ready to slow down as she detailed how she trains like an athlete to stay in shape.
The Canadian hitmaker, who is a vegetarian, revealed she does not eat solid foods at all before performing and will only eat by drinking her meals.
She told The Sun: ‘I am an athlete, I have to breathe, I have to project. I have to pace everything. I only drink fluids all day until after the show. I drink my food, so I blend my food. Lots of blended spinach and blueberries.’
However, following her energetic show, Shania insisted she will ‘eat whatever’ washed down with a ‘glass of champagne’.

She continued: ‘After the show I am ready to chew. I am vegetarian, so I only eat vegetarian proteins, but I will eat whatever. I don’t eat like a rabbit. I am happy to have pasta, and I will have a glass of champagne after the show — I like to celebrate. It’s got to be good quality but I’m not a snob about it.’
The Man! I Feel Like A Woman! singer said her strict regime has allowed her to be fitter and more confident than ever.
Shania also admitted she has sworn off going under the knife as she is ‘OK’ with having ‘sag or cellulite’.
The popstar revealed she likes to ‘look at herself in the mirror naked’ so she feels good in her body and doesn’t feel like she has to ‘cover it up’.
She explained: ‘A surgery that is not necessary for my wellbeing is removing my cellulite. What is necessary is knowing that it is there and not hating myself for it. I have to take myself on the stage without feeling like I have to cover myself up. I want to feel liberated.’
Shania will be taking to the stage in Vegas throughout the year, as well as a series of UK summer outdoor gigs including playing Glastonbury and a headline show at BST Hyde Park on July 7.
Her Vegas show, Come On Over: All The Hits, features a 21-song setlist heavily inspired by her 1997 album Come On Over.
Rousing renditions of Man! I Feel Like A Woman! and That Don’t Impress Me Much are on the bill, along with Giddy Up! and Waking Up Dreaming from her latest record Queen Of Me.

She revealed she has no fewer than four full costume changes and gushed that she actually does ‘have the best time ever’ while on stage.
It comes after Shania left fans baffled after she shared an unrecognizable selfie to her Instagram account.
The country singer shared a beaming snap of herself showing off her new pink hair in an outtake from her new Haute Living cover shoot.
Shania said the photo captured all the ‘fun’ she was having that day.
‘I love this outtake from the @hauteliving cover shoot because you can FEEL how much fun I was having,’ the Forever And For Always singer wrote in the caption. ‘Expect me to be coloring my hair, doing what I dare in Vegas, sorry not sorry!!’
However, numerous fans couldn’t help but remark on just how different Twain looked in the snap.
‘Who is this…really?; I have no idea who this is!; Who is she?; Who the heck? That looks NOTHING like you!’
The photo was an outtake from her recent Haute Living shoot – where she opened up about her changing hair.
The songstress has experimented with blonde, red, and pink in recent years.

The country singer caused confusion between fans as she beamed for a selfie showing off her new pink hair in an outtake from her new Haute Living cover shoot
‘It’s funny — the reason that I even experimented with [the pink] was because I’m going grey. And now I’m thinking that when I’m entirely grey, maybe I should just dye my hair at that point and rock the pink,’ she said.
‘It’s the way I feel when I have that color on. It makes me feel youthful. I don’t need to look younger in my own mind — it’s not a goal of mine — but I do like to feel refreshed, and the pink hair does that. It’s awesome.’
She added: ‘Outside of experimenting with hair color, I would say that I enjoy being fearless — nothing really scares me.’
‘I’m not worried about wearing a hair color and not pulling it off. I’m not worried about the backlash… even in my own mirror.
‘There’s no wrong thing to experiment with. You’ve just got to have fun — and being playful makes me feel more youthful.’
