Shania Twain shared several photos from her trip to the Forbes 30/50 International Women’s Day Summit, which was held in Abu Dhabi, on her Instagram account on Friday.
The 58-year-old performer penned a short message in her post’s caption where she wrote that she had ‘connected with some of the most incredible and inspiring women’ during the event.
The hitmaker – who was recently honored with her own Barbie doll – also wrote that, after encountering ‘so many interesting people’ at the summit, she spent a ‘girls night in the desert’ with her friends.
In her first snap, Twain was seen while posing in front of an installation that had been set up for the event.
The songwriter went on to share a video of herself giving a pep talk to several schoolchildren, during which she encouraged them to ‘forget the word “doubt.”‘

The Grammy Award-winning singer continued: ‘I would use the word “conscientious.” You’re just being conscientious. You’re just being your best professional self.’
Twain also included a clip in which she was seen clapping along while watching a group of schoolchildren perform for the summit’s attendees.
The performer’s final clip showed her singing her 1999 hit Man! I Feel Like a Woman! with a group of the summit’s attendees.
The songwriter opened up about writing the track during an interview that took place at the summit, and revealed that she was inspired by her past struggles with her image.
She stated via MSNBC: ‘I’m a very self-conscious person in a lot of ways. It’s a work in progress. And this is why I wrote the song, Man! I Feel Like a Woman!, because I was always very self-conscious about my body.’
Twain also recalled going through particularly traumatic experiences while undergoing puberty and spoke about wearing oversized clothing ‘for a long, long time’ as a coping mechanism.
The hitmaker then stated that she wrote the song as a way of expressing and promoting self-love.
‘I was stating — exclaiming — that I am happy in my own skin. And this is my shape…So I really took ownership of finally being a woman,’ she said.

She added: ‘I really took ownership of finally being a woman and I was 33 by that time!’
Twain went on to state that she had learned to value her own talents over the years and told the summit’s attendees: ‘Self-doubt doesn’t belong in my vocabulary anymore.’
The performer concluded by stating that she had also used the process of songwriting to move forward from her past hardships.
‘I found my own therapy. And that was my imagination and my creative already in progress,’ she said.
