Shania Twain in Ryan Murphy’s Doctor Odyssey Trailer

Shania Twain made a very glamorous cameo in the trailer for the upcoming ABC television show, Doctor Odyssey.

In the teaser trailer, which was released by ABC on Monday, the country pop icon, 58, made a guest appearance for a scene, joining the series starring Joshua Jackson.

She was seen dancing with Don Johnson, 74, who looked dapper in a white tuxedo with a black bowtie, on the party deck.

The Man! I Feel Like A Woman hitmaker — who looked like she was close to tears as she recalled the struggles she faced as a young child — sparkled like a disco ball as she modeled a sexy gown covered from top to bottom in sequins.

Her honey blonde tresses was styled in a voluminous, bouncy blowout with face-framing curtain bangs, and her makeup was done glamorously with a sultry, smoky eye look.

The trailer begins with a close-up shot of Jackson, 46, as Dr. Max Bankman as he prepares to board the luxury cruise ship to start his new job as the on-board doctor.

He removes his sunglasses to take in the sight of the colossal vessel, and his face falls into a soft smile.

He is welcomed onto the Odyssey by Captain Robert Massey, who is played by Don Johnson.

‘Welcome to the Odyssey,’ the captain says to Max.

‘This ship is heaven. Our mission is to preserve the dream,’ he continued.

‘And that’s why you’re here,’ he said. ‘Keep these dreamers safe.’

‘I’m in,’ Max tells Robert.

Then, Phillipa Soo, 34, and Sean Teale, 32, are seen as Nurse Avery Morgan and Nurse Tristan Silva, respectively.

As the captain narrates, the Beach Boy’s Wouldn’t It Be Nice plays in the background with eerie pauses and beeping from a heart rate monitor for an unsettling and suspenseful feeling.

Soon, things take a turn for the worse as the music starts slowing down and becoming distorted.

A man collapses by the pool, a woman convulses on a hospital bed and another woman watches a man fall backwards and go overboard into the ocean.

‘It’s not a question of when you’ll encounter waves, but what you do when they come up,’ the captain says, seemingly with premonition of the hurdles to come.

Then, Dr. Max Bankman performs CPR on a passenger after they collapse, and the entire ship is caught into a powerful and perilous storm.

‘Keep breathing,’ Max tells the man who fell into the ocean after he dived in himself to save him and they resuscitated him.

The medical drama series, which was written and executive produced by Ryan Murphy of American Horror Story fame, is ‘all about escapism, lust at sea and life or death medical emergencies,’ Jackson told ABC 7 earlier this month.

The logline reads: ‘It’s all-hands-on-deck as Max and his small but mighty medical team navigate unique medical crises and each other, miles from shore.’

Jackson and Johnson also serve as executive producers for the show.
