Shane Warne’s Kids Honor Him with Unseen Photos on What Would Have Been His 56th Birthday

The children of the late cricket great Shane Warne have shared a touching tribute to the spin king on what would have been his 56th birthday on Saturday.

Shane died from natural causes while holidaying with friends on the Thailand island of Koh Samui on March 4, 2022.

In one of the never-before-seen snaps, Shane’s eldest child Brooke Warne, 28, took a selfie of a throwback picture, with a lighted candle beside it, which was still in its original Looney Tunes themed frame.

Brooke appeared to be a pre-teen in the family photo from the early 2000s, in which she posed with her late father, who was at the peak of his sporting fame.

‘Happy birthday, Dad,’ Brooke captioned the Instagram story.

The youngest of the Warne clan, Summer, 23, meanwhile, shared a gorgeous home video to her stories, where she can be seen as a tot playing alongside her dad.

In the charming snippet, toddler-age Summer can be seen running around a pool table before leaping into her father’s arms.

She also shared another previously unseen black and white photo of herself posing alongside her dad.

‘Happy birthday, Dad,’ she said in the caption, adding: ’56 today.’

Summer continued: ‘Words cannot describe how much I miss you.

‘I wish I could give you the biggest hug. I love you forever, Hope you are partying up there today,’ she said and added a love heart emoji.

Shane’s son Jackson, 26, shared a post from the Lord’s Cricket Ground in England, which paid their own tribute to the Australian Test great.

In the post, Jackson features in a gallery of snaps where he can be seen enjoying a tour of the famed ground.

Other photos feature the Warne children’s mother, Simone Callahan, who joined Jackson on the tour.

The caption included the message: ‘As we remember Shane on what would have been his 56th birthday, we were honoured to show his son Jackson around the Lord’s Pavilion, and the Shane Warne Commentary Box, earlier this summer.’

‘Very special day, Thank you for having me!’ Jackson replied and joked, ‘Thanks for the hair genes!’

It comes after Jackson recently revealed what went on behind the scenes the day his famous dad died.

Jackson said he was with members of his family when he learned that Shane had suffered a fatal heart attack.

‘Worst phone call of my life,’ Jackson said in a new interview, three years after his father’s death at age 52.
