Selling Sunset star Bre Tiesi offered a blistering response to Chrishell Stause’s shock exit from the hit Netflix show after nine seasons.
The 44-year-old TV personality announced her departure during a candid discussion with Bustle published earlier this week – and explained the decision was due to the series taking a toll on her mental health.
Both Tiesi and Stause have feuded in the past on the show and the mom-of-one told Us Weekly that she is ‘not surprised’ by the real estate agent not returning.
‘I’m not surprised because she’s threatened it every season. She’s been threatening it since I got there.’
She continued, ‘I would be surprised if she actually does go. I don’t really care if she’s there or not.’
Tiesi added that Stause is ‘irrelevant to my life’ but shared that she hopes the star ‘finds something better for her mental state and she can find some peace and she can move on and not be so miserable.’

She also told the outlet that she doesn’t ‘think anyone really knows why she’s acting the way she’s been acting lately – or why she’s been coming at everybody.
‘I always say at the end of the day if people are moving like that, it’s usually something personal that they’re going through.’
Tiesi further said that Stause is perhaps ‘trying to make changes. There’s so many things that people go through which account for why they act the way they do and we don’t always consider that.’
In an article published by Bustle on Friday, Stause left fans shocked as she revealed she will not be returning to season 10 of Selling Sunset.
The All My Children alum first joined the show in 2019 as part of the main cast for a total of nine seasons.
Her departure also comes after an explosive feud that played out on screen with co-star Nicole Young – who had made remarks about Stause’s late parents.
Both Stause and castmate Amanza Smith had previously alleged that Young has problems with substance abuse, which she has denied.
‘I’ve gotten to a place where I don’t need the show financially,’ Stause explained to Bustle. ‘I’m lucky to have other forms of employment, because it’s no longer good for my mental health.’

The reality star added, ‘The show has given me so many opportunities, and I don’t want to be bitter about it, even though I’m leaving not in the way that I would’ve loved.’
She expressed that her quitting the series was a decision that she has ‘vacillated back and forth with’ before.
However, Stause admitted, ‘I have to be honest – having come from nothing, it’s really hard to turn something like this down.’
According to the TV personality, Selling Sunset creator Adam DiVello has been reaching out to her ‘100 times a day’ in the hopes she will return – but she is seemingly firm in her decision.
When it comes to conflicts and feuds on the show, Stause stated that she had difficulty to how they are edited for the episodes.
‘I get it, they want to make a light show. And if I was doing a show with less problematic people, I can totally see their point.’
Stause also clashed with Emma Hernan during season nine – which dropped on the streaming site late last month on October 9.
The star told Bustle that their issues stem from Hernan’s boyfriend Blake Davis and comments he has made.

‘He compared being nonbinary to having a mental illness,’ Stause claimed.
The real estate agent is married to Australian singer G-Flip – who is nonbinary. But Davis has denied using any form of derogatory language towards Stause.
‘He constantly posts anti-trans stuff… He thinks it’s too woke if you don’t sing the N word in songs.’
She continued, ‘He posted something the other day, with a gun in view, saying he wants to “sue [me for lying] my d**k off.”‘
Stause further pointed towards the editing of situations on the show and said, ‘With Emma, I just look like an overbearing friend.
‘But there are so many things that would’ve completely vindicated me and my opinion, and they left all of it out.’
Stause’s exit comes after she previously said she would not return last year if co-star Nicole Young did. However, the pair both returned to appear in the ninth season.
Young made remarks about Stause’s late parents who both passed away during the most recent season during a dinner with the cast – with the topic of drugs being brought up.

Young geared the conversation towards Stause’s deceased mother and father who passed away from lung cancer. Stause has publicly discussed their addiction issues in the past.
At one point, Young told Stause: ‘Honey, you’re confusing me with your parents, okay? You seem to be obsessed with drugs.’
Following the comments, Young was allegedly dismissed from the Oppenheim Group.
But during the season nine reunion, Jason Oppenheim stated that he is ‘still working with Nicole’ and that she is ‘not out of the brokerage.’
She then cut in to add, ‘I wasn’t fired is what he was saying.’ Jason then shared, ‘I think it was healthy for Nicole to step away from the office.’
After Stause’s departure, it has been revealed that producers for Selling Sunset have plans to replace the star with a major celebrity.
Daily Mail confirmed that producers had already been looking for new celebrity cast members before Stause announced she was quitting the Netflix series.

‘They’re looking high and low for a big celebrity to join next season,’ a source told the Daily Mail.
‘Producers don’t even care if they’ve worked in real estate or not. If the person is a big enough name, they’ll put you on the show without any real estate experience.’
The insider added, ‘They just have to be willing to go for their real estate license on the show and be able to show a few homes.’
They also explained, ‘Selling Sunset has become pretty trashy with all the crazy drama between the cast, so it’s not like huge stars are clamoring to get on it.’
