Selling Sunset star Bre Tiesi has cleared up any confusion over her history with Cassandra Dawn – after internet sleuths discovered that she had in fact interacted with the newcomer years before they came face-to-face on the Netflix show.
The pair furiously clashed on the new season after Bre, 32, denied she had met fellow realtor Cassandra, 34, before their time at the Oppenheim Group.
Keen to discover the truth, fans trawled social media, and unearthed comments Bre had posted on Cassandra’s Instagram page in 2021 to congratulate her on her engagement.
Addressing the furor over their relationship, Bre told DailyMail.com exclusively: ‘Everybody thinks that they’re like Pink Panther, and they’re investigating whatever’s happening here and I’m gonna make it very clear: I’ve never ever met this woman in my entire life.
‘Have we had mutual friends? Yes. Do we know of each other from the industry? Yes.’

Cassandra arrived in season seven of the Netflix show – and feuded with Bre over their ‘history’
Turning her attention to the Instagram post, Bre continued: ‘There was something called engagement groups, which a lot of influencers started years ago, where you would follow each other and you would comment and like on each other’s posts to help with algorithms – but we’ve never met.’
The post read: ‘Ummmmm ur stunning [heart eye emoji] and that ring’.
Bre also insisted that she doesn’t hold any ill feeling towards Cassandra, and doesn’t ‘hate’ her.
‘It’s one of those things where people get on TV and feel pressure to act and be and do certain things that you wouldn’t do in a normal setting,’ she said.
‘And I think that if you’re somebody that obviously wants your five minutes, or obviously wanted to really be on the show, you feel more inclined to do things to and she just came at me wrong.’
‘There’s nothing against her,’ Bre stressed. ‘I don’t dislike her. I don’t hate her. There’s no history like y’all enjoy that.
‘It’s just the way she addressed me came off crazy. And we’re on a show… not everything happens exactly how you see it. I love that everyone’s invested, but be a little more logical here.’
Cassandra said Bre had been ‘friendly and supportive’ and had communicated multiple times on Instagram.

Speaking to DailyMail.com, Bre said that was in ‘engagement groups’ with other influencers and would post on people’s Instagram profiles
Cassandra told DailyMail.com that she always had ‘pleasant communication’ with Bre on social media before joining Selling Sunset
She claimed Bre had asked influencers to help her promote her business and that she had always had ‘pleasant communication’ with her on Instagram – although that changed once Selling Sunset was thrown into the mix.
‘She contacted a lot of models and influencers on social media to get paid to promote to help, just get visibility for these companies,’ Cassandra told DailyMail.com.
‘So that’s how we linked up. And from then on, we kept in touch over Instagram, and she was very friendly and supportive.
‘When she got pregnant, I congratulated her, and we remained pretty friendly on social media. She would leave nice comments here and there.’
Sharing her response to Bre claiming she didn’t know who Cassandra was, she added: ‘I am rather surprised that she found my kindness and familiarity so triggering, but I guess everyone is different and has different things that trigger them.
‘So ultimately, I have some compassion for her that she was so affected.’
Cassandra isn’t the only person to come to blows with Bre. The mother-of-one also clashed with Chelsea Lazanki after she voiced her criticism about Bre’s unconventional relationship with Nick Cannon, with whom she shares son, Legendary, 16 months.
Bre is currently ‘undecided’ about her future at the brokerage and on the show and wants to prioritize her one-year-old son over constantly feeling ‘under attack’ from her fellow realtors.
Jason Oppenheim wasn’t forthcoming when pressed on whether she’s still an agent at the brokerage .
‘You’d have to ask her,’ he said, before insisting: ‘I am [on good terms with Bre].’
Weighing in on her viscous spat with Chelsea, he continued: ‘I was at the party, and I experienced it as it was unfolding.
‘I get that we’re filming a show and those things happen, and I’m assuming that stuff probably drives the audience, but obviously I don’t want those things occurring during my opening.’
