Selena Gomez was the image of showbiz glamour when she surfaced for a ritzy night out in New York City this Monday night.
The 33-year-old pop act, who is currently planning her wedding to music producer Benny Blanco, was solo during her latest sighting.
She exuded retro chic in a tight, strapless black dress that featured a bit of corsetry and a neckline that dipped to showcase her cleavage.
Slicking her hair back, she sharpened her unmistakable features with makeup and flung a black scarf around the front of her neck.
As she hit the sidewalk on a towering set of ankle-strap stilettos, she was thronged by excited fans and could be seen graciously posing for pictures with them.
Her latest sighting comes after she held forth on her body image issues, her therapy and her various health problems in a new interview.

Selena’s weight loss a few months ago prompted a round of speculation that she had become one of the raft of Hollywood figures to fall back on Ozempic.
However she has previously explained that her fluctuating size was due to lupus medication and a condition called SIBO, aka small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, which can be caused by diseases or often by an abdominal operation.
The surgery or the illness will cause food and waste to move more slowly through the digestive system, ‘creating a breeding ground for bacteria,’ per the Mayo Clinic.
Now Selena – who has battled a variety of health problems and underwent a kidney transplant in 2017 – has opened up about the twinge she still feels when she hears negative comments about her figure.
‘I got stung by a person saying I was fat. Why is that [emotion] coming up?’ the Only Murders in the Building star shared with Allure. ‘I’ve dealt with a lot of weight issues in my life, and that’s something I’m very sensitive to.’
She coped by undergoing dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), which helped her ‘understand’ that her feelings were ‘stemming from that one time when I was going through some medical stuff and I had gained weight….’
Selena, who has been frank about her mental health issues such as bipolar disorder, said: ‘You just definitely have to be willing to do the work, and that part can be tricky.’
Her relationship with Benny has also benefited from having started at a time when she had already advanced along her process of self-improvement.

‘I don’t think I would have been remotely mature enough,’ she admitted. ‘It’s weird to think that only five years ago I wouldn’t have been in the right place, but I’ve learned so many lessons [since then] that led me to being the best partner I could be for Benny. And I believe the same with him.’
She shared: ‘He’ll say, “Gosh, why did we waste so much time?” And I always say: “You wouldn’t have liked me back then. I was all over the place.”‘
Selena waxed rhapsodic about Benny, whom she called ‘one of the most grounding people in my life, and he makes me feel very normal.’
As far as her professional endeavors are concerned, her aim at present is ‘to be in this moment. And who knows, in a couple years I could be done, and that’s fine. I just need to make sure that while I’m here, I do the best I can.’
In the midst of her various commitments, she makes a point of taking breaks from Instagram, where she is the world’s third-most followed person.
‘I want to feel content in whatever position I’m at in my life, and I want to be present. Taking a break from social media helps do that for me,’ she dished.
