Amelia Dimoldenberg has revealed she had a kiss with a mystery person ahead of her hotly anticipated date with Andrew Garfield on Chicken Shop Date – which is due for release on October 18.
While fans have been eagerly awaiting the 29-year-old British journalist’s reunion with the newly single Spider-Man actor, 41, she hinted her love life is heating up as she shed light on her relationship status.
Speaking to actress Drew Barrymore on her chat show earlier this week, Amelia said that she is enjoying being single.
She told the E.T. star: ‘I’m feeling really good about being single at the moment, but that’s because I kissed someone recently and I feel like as soon as…’
But before Amelia could finish her sentence, Drew was desperate to know whether her guest had kissed ‘with tongue’.

Amelia then divulged: ‘Yeah with tongue.’
Elsewhere during their chat, Amelia confirmed that she is currently single and that she has been for a long time.
‘I’m more single than I am not,’ she told Drew, who replied that she is too.
Amelia then cheekily suggested: ‘Maybe you should start going to chicken shops? Maybe that’s where you’re going wrong.’
Amelia’s upcoming Chicken Shop Date with Andrew has had fans riled up since she announced his appearance last week.
Supporters have been desperate for developments between the pair ever since their electric last encounter at the Golden Globes in January 2023 when she interviewed him on the red carpet.
At the star-studded event, she told the actor: ‘We must stop meeting like this.’
Andrew replied: ‘I only ever want to see you’… before Amelia interrupted ‘What?’

Amelia cheekily said she would want to see him in other situations as she invited him to her birthday party on January 30th.
Andrew then enquired about Amelia’s star sign, to which she said she’s an Aquarius.
The actor replied: ‘If you have a sun sign that’s the same as the moon sign of someone else, it’s good.’
Asked why it would be an issue, he said: ‘I don’t think we should explore this.’
Amelia replied she ‘wasn’t even asking you to’ before saying ‘you’re obsessed with me’.
Andrew then said: ‘That’s what I’m saying. I’m scared what it could turn into and I’m not ready for that,’ before she quipped back: ‘Oh ok, well I am.’
Over the weekend, Andrew’s ex-girlfriend Kate Thomas revealed on social media that they had ended their relationship and had quietly split ‘months ago’.

While it’s unclear how long Andrew and Kate dated, they were first pictured on a double date with Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham at Zinqué Malibu on March 31.

‘Andrew really appreciates the fact that Kate is very different from other women he’s dated. He thinks she has a great sense of humor and she’s easy to talk to.’
