He shared: ‘When you walk around, you guys [Kyle & Jackie O] have paparazzi and stuff like that. What’s that like? Is it ever cool?’
‘It depends what you’re up to,’ Kyle replied. ‘If you’re just shopping, fine.’
Jackie agreed, saying: ‘Yeah, there are times when you don’t mind and there are times when you do.’
‘If you’re sneaking out of a Meriton at three in the morning with a couple of models under your arm, it’s hard to explain that one. Have you had that?’ Kyle asked.
Host Kyle Sandilands was left shocked by the revelation and asked Dean (both pictured) if he ever gets a ‘double take’
Dean claimed he never experiences anything close to Kyle and Jackie’s level of notoriety.
‘But it’s kind of cool because I get to put out these songs, I get to play these great shows. But no one really cares about me which is kind of cool,’ the musician said.
Kyle expressed his disbelief that Dean likes not to have any attention.
‘You like being incognito?’ the shock jock said.
‘Yeah, because I feel like I’m famous at my shows. And then when I leave, no one really cares,’ he insisted.

The singer shot to fame in 2016 with his hit Waves and went on to find further success with 2019’s Be Alright, which reached number one on the ARIA charts and sat at the top for two weeks.
The star recalled that before his fame in 2016, it took him three months to sell out tickets for a show a Sydney’s Factory Theatre, which has an audience capacity of 2,200 people.
The singer now plays to sell-out shows, and will be touring Australia later this year, starting in October.
