Before things went desperately south for the couple, Scott and Gia chose to ink their self-professed 'strongest couple' status with matching tattoos.
During the show's Feedback Week, just four weeks into the experiment, Scott and Gia etched barbed wire love hearts with the number 13 in the middle into their ankles.
Scott took to Instagram last week to share new artwork covering up his matching Gia tattoo.
He posted a clip that began with Scott and Gia in happier times – flaunting their loved-up artwork at a commitment ceremony.
The clip then flashed forward to the present day, with Scott eager to erase the memory of his former bride.

'Today's a little bit different so come and spend the day with me and let's see what we can do with this tattoo, shall we?' he said.
The clip then showed Scott working on his chiselled form in the gym before heading to the office to complete some work.
He then stopped by Gold Coast tattoo parlour Minamoto Tattoo, to have the offending ink replaced.
Scott's tattooist Nicky D soon worked his magic, completely replacing the barbed wire love heart with a large grey wash eagle.
The reality star was clearly chuffed with the cover-up, gushing to his tattooist about the new artwork.
'I'll tell you what, sometimes we all make mistakes,' Scott said before his tattooist also chimed in.
'You're lucky you know someone who knows how to cover things up,' Nicky said, to which Scott replied: 'You wouldn't know it if you read about it.'
Curiously, the clip also included controversial bride Bec Zachariah's reaction to Scott and Gia's ostentatious display of love.

'This eagle represents something for me. I got it for freedom, living life on my own terms and not being controlled,' Scott captioned the post

Others were quick to show their support for Scott with the likes of: 'The best cover-up ever. Love the eagle looks sick! Keep smiling Scotty.'
Another follower chimed in with a similar: 'We all knew it was coming. Good for you to see you're moving forward.'
It comes after Gia emerged in disgusting footage in which Scott is trashed mercilessly.
Gia appeared in a TikTok live group chat with her best friend Wil Thompson, and intruder groom, Chris Robinson.
In the short clip, Wil, who was the Man of Honour at Gia and Scott's wedding, called the groom a 'd***nob' – a description that Gia appeared pleased with.
Wil also made unkind remarks about the partners of Scott's brothers and talked about footage he filmed for MAFS that never made it to air.
Explaining that he asked Scott, 33, whether he had children, Wil added he also interrogated the businessman about his bank account and whether he 'went out every weekend'.
'[I asked Scott] what condom size [he used],' he continued, adding, 'I was asking all these really, really outrageous questions.'
Gia has been known to rip into her MAFS groom since leaving the experiment.
Last month the divisive reality star went rogue in a lengthy clip she shared to her social media, claiming Scott could not 'read, write or spell'.
