Potential theory circulating that a farmer ends up single on Farmer Wants A Wife 2024

The latest series of Farmer Wants A Wife may see one farmer walk away single.

Fan theories have emerged online that Farmer Bert is ‘bored’ with his love interests and likely to leave the show alone.

‘Bert either has chosen just one lady and is going through the motions or is regretting going on the show, in my opinion,’ one person wrote on Facebook.

‘I think he knows going on the show was a mistake but is trying to see it out. I’m sure he’s going to pull the pin’ said another.

‘He shows no interest in anyone. Not sure if that’s the case or he is just closed off to his emotions’ one more said.

‘He’s very closed off and just going through the motions with everyone,’ someone else wrote.

‘Bert does not appear interested in any of the girls…he is either painfully shy or has an interest elsewhere,’ someone said. ‘So awkward to watch’ yet another said.

The 30-year-old fruit farmer from regional Queensland has already had a suspenseful run on the season, after eliminating beauties April and Caity from his dating pool.

With only Karli, Caitlin and Lauren left to choose from, viewers have suggested that Bert has the strongest connection with Caitlin, a 27-year-old disability support worker.

However, in a shock turn of events, it has been reported in recent weeks that Bert ends up with no one and leaves the series as single as when he entered it.

One farmer has already left the show – but he did so for love.

Farmer Dean declared his love for Teegan after calling her his soulmate and shocked the remaining women by sending them all home.

He admitted he found a strong connection with Teegan and didn’t need to move further in the experiment.

Tim Ross shares his perspective on the alleged ‘feud’ following Merrick Watts’ description of their split as ‘brutal’

Tim Ross has opened up about the split with his former radio partner Merrick Watts dismissing any talk of a ‘feud’.

The pair known as ‘Merrick and Rosso’ rose to fame as a comedic duo on Triple J, and later Nova, and Triple M.

But the team shocked listeners when they parted ways in 2009 after over a decade together.

Speaking on the Mumbrella podcast on Friday, Tim described Merrick as a ‘brother’ and said the former partners share a ‘bond’.

‘Merrick and I, the way I describe it, we’re like brothers, you know? No one else understands what happened at that time,’ he said.

He said that the pair share ‘beautiful in-jokes that no one else gets’ like a ‘secret language.

‘We always share stories about when people come up and tell us about something,’ he continued, adding: ‘What really unites us in our friendship is that shared history. We’re really, really lucky to have that bond.’

It comes after Watts spoke about the pair’s split, which he described as ‘brutal’ earlier this month.

‘Rosso and I fractured, we split up at the end of 2009. It was brutal, it was tough. It’s not really something I talk about a lot…but it was really devastating at the time,’ he told SAS Australia host Ant Middleton on his podcast Head Game on Tuesday.

‘I was focused on wanting to follow a certain trajectory that I felt innately was the right way to go and that was probably in conflict to the way we were doing things and the way we were working together.’

The comedian said he felt the collaboration between himself and his partner had run its course at the time.

‘I think we just exhausted ourselves as a unit and we’d done everything, we’d even lived together, and then I got my own family and got different priorities,’ he claimed.

Ant suggested that Watts’ change in priorities was likely due to the arrival of his first son, Wolfe, in 2009.

‘I kind of wanted to forge my own identity…which I thought would be a lot easier than what it was,’ Watts added.

The podcast interview wasn’t the first time Watts encountered Ant, as the pair first met on SAS Australia in 2020.

  • ‘Fans believe they know Farmer Bert’s choice as Farmer Wants A Wife ending is leaked online shortly after premiere’

‘Fans believe they know Farmer Bert’s choice as Farmer Wants A Wife ending is leaked online shortly after premiere’

Farmer Wants A Wife’s much-anticipated 2024 series kicked off on Sunday night, as a new group of farmers appeared on screens in the hopes of finding true love.

The Channel 7 show has already served its fair share of drama, with Karli and Caity already becoming locked in a war for farmer Bert Harris’ affections.

Just days after the premiere, fans are convinced the winning couples may have already been leaked, thanks to telling betting odds.

Sportsbet have already named the frontrunners for the reality TV show, with odds predicting who Bert and his fellow farmers Dustin and Dean will choose.

Bookies have previously predicted the outcomes of reality shows including Big Brother, SAS Australia and The Bachelor – with some speculating betting sites are given information ahead of time in order to inform their odds.

For Farmer Wants a Wife, it has been predicted to be most likely that Bert will leave the show solo, despite his recent trysts on the reality TV show.

He is most likely to leave the show solo, according to the $1.67 odds, while Caitlin is then the favourite to win him over at odds of $2.40 – despite her not currently being locked in the battle for his affections.

Meanwhile, Bert ending up with Karli looks less likely as she came in with $4 odds, while Caity was given odds of just $7.50.

It was also predicted that Farmer Dustin is most likely to end up with Sophie, with odds of $1.50, followed by Kara, who Sportsbet placed at $4.

Elsewhere, Teegan is the frontrunner to win Farmer Dean’s affections, with odds of $1.80, while she is followed closely by Bella, who came in second at $2.

As well as Bert, Dustin and Dean, Farmers Tom and Joe are also looking for love on the 2024 series.

However, some fans disagreed with Sportsbet’s predictions about Bert as fans took to social media to reveal who they think the farmer will end up with.

Just mere episodes into the 2024 instalment, viewers shared their hopes that Bert will end up with Karli at the end of the series.

They wrote: ‘She was my pick last night straight away, seems genuine;’ ‘Hope he chooses her she’s stunning and they fit so good together;’

‘She looks lovely and natural, I think they would be perfect together.’

It comes after Karli and Caity became locked in a war over Farmer Bert’s affections during Monday’s drama-packed second episode.

Caity appeared to win him over during their romantic date as the pair cuddled up under a blanket on a dock alongside a waterway.

As the couple bonded, they shared a sweet kiss with Caity declaring: ‘Well, that was nice,’ as they took their romance to the next step.

The following day, the other women quizzed Caity over whether she and Bert had kissed the night before.

Karli said she was certain the pair had locked lips, but insisted it had not cooled her affection for the pineapple farmer.

‘I think they would have kissed, yes. I try not to think about it to much,’ she said in a piece to camera.

The father-of-two said he had been in the ‘worst mental state’ of his life, and not even a psychologist or 10-week meditation course could help.

‘I felt like I was chipping away,’ Watts said during an interview with Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa.

‘I did all the right things, I spoke to a psychologist, I spoke to my doctor, I did a 10-week meditation course. Nothing was working. I know that what I needed was to rebuild my confidence.’

Watts said he knew that going on SAS Australia would help him ‘rebuild his confidence.’

‘I look at myself, a year ago and when I signed up for this show I was in the worst mental state I’ve ever been in. I look at myself a year later and I’m in the best physical and mental state I’ve been in in my entire life.’

‘I’m happy with my progress. I’m happy not to compete too much at the moment and just focus on training because Europe is more important. It’s all about Paris,’ he told the publication.

Bol will attend the Grand Prix at Albert Park this weekend before heading to Europe on May 1.

In December, new Athletics Australia president Jane Flemming hit out at the handling of Bol’s drug scandal, after he embroiled in a banned substance scandal with Athletics Australia.

‘God forbid any of our other athletes have to go through the horrendous experience that Peter has gone through,’ Flemming said.

‘I think a new year and an Olympics (in Paris), you need to despite what he’s been through which is as I said horrendous, but hopefully he can start to look forward rather than back,’ she said.

‘For his sake, we only ever wish him and all of our athletes success and try to clear the pathway, and make the pathway as best possible to enable that.’

Bol made his Olympic debut in 2016 and shot to prominence at the Tokyo Games, where he twice broke the national 800m record and finished fourth in the final, the best result by an Australian in the event in 53 years.
