Sarah Paulson dazzled as she stepped out in a glittering ensemble while promoting her upcoming horror film, Hold Your Breath, in New York City on Wednesday.
The American Horror Story actress, 49 – who recently broke silence on the rumor she is ‘living separately’ from partner Holland Taylor – flashed a cheerful smile as she arrived to the Bravo Clubhouse in the Big Apple.
The star wowed in a long-sleeved, dark blue dress that was made of a sparkling, sequin material.
Paulson slipped into a pair of closed-toed, black pumps and added a pair of silver earrings to further glam up the look.
Sarah’s short, brunette locks were parted to the side, and fell down in light waves to nearly brush the tips of her shoulders.

Her makeup was classically done, and comprised of a layer of mascara to her lashes as well as a light shadow around her eyes.
A warm blush was added to her cheekbones for a radiant glow, while a bold red tint was worn on her lips for a finishing touch.
Paulson was spotted strolling along a sidewalk as she briefly flaunted her fashionable look in the Hudson Square neighborhood of NYC.
The beauty is preparing for the release of her psychological thriller, Hold Your Breath, which is slated to premiere on Hulu on Thursday, October 3.
Alongside Sarah, other stars that have been cast in the project include Amiah Miller, Annaleigh Ashford, The Bear’s Ebon Moss-Bachrach and also Alona Jane Robbins.
The premise is, ‘In 1930s Oklahoma amid the region’s horrific dust storms, a woman is convinced that a sinister presence is threatening her family,’ per an IMDB synopsis.
Earlier this week on Tuesday, Paulson opened up about the Hulu movie during an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
She explained that the movie ‘differentiates itself from a traditional psychological thriller, because it’s essentially about a mother who is grieving the loss of her youngest child that she lost to scarlet fever.’

‘Because it takes place in the 1930s, during the Dust Bowl, which was a really scary time in our country, where, you know, like a wall of dust, a wave of black clouds…’
Jimmy cut in to say, ‘That’s scary in itself,’ with Paulson adding that her character ‘goes a little cuckoo!’
She also revealed that the original title of the film was simply, Dust, before the movie was officially called Hold Your Breath.
‘But then there were a couple of titles that were floated…,’ Sarah explained, with Fallon saying, ‘Dust just doesn’t sound exciting.’
Paulson then added, ‘There were a couple of titles that were brought forward. One of them was It Gets Inside.’
The live audience began to laugh as Sarah jokingly said, ‘And I was like, “It sure doesn’t. It sure doesn’t. Sure doesn’t get inside.”‘

While recently talking to USA Today, Sarah also discussed filming the movie in New Mexico – including the dust bowl scenes.
She revealed that real dust was blown around on the set with fans – sometimes reaching speeds of 75 mph.
‘We had a specific hand signal that we would do if the dust was too much or I couldn’t actually see or if I got something in my eye.’
Paulson continued, ‘We got into a little bit of a back-and-forth about how dangerous vs. how hyper-real that they wanted to make (the scenes).’
‘And I was always like, “I just want you to push it, just put a little bit more wind on me, just a little bit more dirt in the air” because the more real it could be for me, I thought the more truthful my performance would be.’

The star added, ‘I’m just interested in authenticity. I’m interested in a kind of rigorous honesty in my work and in my life.’
‘And so sometimes with that comes some things you don’t always want, like a big ol’ piece of dirt in your eye.’
Hold Your Breath – which was directed by both Karrie Crouse and Will Joines – first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last month in September.
