Sarah Michelle Gellar dropped in on Instagram on Monday to share a new — and rare — photo with husband Freddie Prinze Jr.
The 47-year-old actress cozied up to the 48-year-old actor in a closeup selfie that saw them each smiling softly.
The mother-of-two — who shares daughter Charlotte, 14, and son Rocky, 11, with her spouse of nearly 22 years — added a sweet caption.
‘Holding on to loved ones just a little tighter right now,’ the Buffy the Vampire Slayer alumna wrote.
The sweet post comes as she mourns the loss of her best friend Shannen Doherty, who succumbed to cancer nine days ago at the age of 53.

Breaking her silence two days after Shannen’s death, Sarah began an Instagram tribute: ‘How do you possibly find the right words to sum up 30 years of friendship?’
The stars met in the 1990s and had been friends ever since, with Sarah revealing in a 2020 interview with People that they talked ‘every day.’
In her social media memoriam, Gellar continued: ‘I keep reminding myself it only hurts this much because there was so much love. Thank you, for all your kind words and support.
‘I love all the messages about how @theshando was important to you. So let’s honor her. More than anything.’
She encouraged fans to donate to charities, as she added: ‘Shan loves animals, especially dogs.
‘In her memory let’s support our favorite animal charities. Whether that’s donating money, stopping by your local shelter and just offering cuddles and walks to animals housed there or even just tagging them in the comments so other people can learn about their work.’
Sarah finished the caption, ‘I know that would make our girl happy (and illicit that deep throaty laugh we all loved).’
Along with the heartfelt message, she added a set of old and new photos with her late friend.
