This comes after she hinted she is keen to play her Sex and the City character again.
The actress last portrayed her iconic alter-ego Carrie Bradshaw when the show’s sequel series And Just Like That… came to an end after three seasons in 2025, but the star has confessed the decision about a return is down to creator Michael Patrick King.
She told Variety: ‘I hear lots of very original ideas, all lovely and well intentioned and often very clever, but the only thing that really matters is what excites Michael Patrick King.’
However, Parker insisted that King is ‘not thinking’ about a future Sex and the City project at the moment.
She said: ‘And right now he’s just not thinking about that.’
In October, Parker claimed she could ‘just be on hiatus’ from the role.
Asked about the decision to bring the series to a conclusion, Sarah told CBS Mornings: ‘I mean, I’m not certain I understand what that decision means, actually.
‘Because I could just be on hiatus, you know.’
Sarah did not expand on what she meant with the ‘hiatus’ suggestion, but described the ‘difficult decision’ she and showrunner Michael Patrick King made to finish And Just Like That… .

The Mars Attacks! star said: ‘Michael and I talked a lot about it, and I think it’s out of respect for this really singular professional experience that you have to consider what you want to do (and) have you done it.
‘And sometimes it’s best to gracefully walk away when things feel really right and energetic, versus squeezing and exploiting people’s generosity and hospitality.’
What’s more, And Just Like That… executive producer Elisa Zuritsky previously hinted there are more story possibilities.
She told TVLine: ‘She’s alive, so it could happen.

Parker beamed with pride over her win on Thursday
‘Sarah Jessica Parker is Michael Patrick King’s muse, and the reason he says, ‘I’ve said goodbye before and I’ve come back’, is because it’s true.’
The thespian also said a sequel to The Family Stone is a ‘bittersweet quandary’ following Diane Keaton’s death.
The actress ‘hopes’ the follow-up movie to the beloved 2005 Christmas classic will still be made, despite the iconic actress – who played Sybil Stone in the festive film – passing away in October aged 79.
She told Variety: ‘I’m so excited … but it’s a rather bittersweet quandary given the loss of Diane Keaton.
‘But it was a very special group of actors, and prior to Diane’s passing, there had been conversations with everybody, so I hope that we’ll be able to.
‘The hardest thing is everybody’s schedules.’

Parker also confirmed Bette Midler and co are still ‘working’ on a third Hocus Pocus movie, and she joked the 80-year-old is like an excited teenager when it comes to the film.
She added: ‘They’re working on it. Where Better [Midler] goes, I go.
‘Bette is like a 13-year-old girl with a new bike.
‘She’s like, ‘I have wheels, let us travel.’ ‘
In October, Midler teased the script for Hocus Pocus 3 is ‘brilliant’.
Speaking on Watch What Happens Live, she said: ‘Well, you know, they sent a script, and a lot of it was brilliant. So I got very excited.
‘And now we’re trying to figure out what it is and where it’s going to be and how much it’s going to cost and all those logistical things.’

In the 1993 original, Midler, Parker and Kathy Najimy appeared as the Sanderson sisters, a trio of witches who were resurrected on a Halloween night.
Previously, Midler – who reprised her role as witch Winifred ‘Winnie’ Sanderson in the successful fantasy comedy sequel in 2022 – urged Disney to hurry up with Hocus Pocus 3 while the cast are ‘still breathing’.
Speaking on Busy Philipps’ QVC+ talk show Busy This Week, she said: ‘I haven’t seen the script, but, I’ve heard rumblings.
‘I think if they’re gonna, they oughta, because time is not just marching, time is barreling to the finish line.
‘Get us while we’re still breathing, I mean, God!’
