Sam Thompson is all smiles while out with best pal Pete Wicks as the Strictly star promotes his new dog show – and receives gushing support from ‘proud’ Jowita Przystal

Sam Thompson was all smiles as he stepped out with his best pal Pete Wicks to promote the Strictly star’s new dog show. 

The former TOWIE star, 37, headed out in London on Wednesday promoting Pete Wicks: For Dogs’ Sake – and was even interviewed by his best friend and podcast co-host Sam.

Newly single Sam, 32, who recently split with girlfriend of five years Zara McDermott, looked cheery as he hugged his pal Pete.

The duo were back together again to record their Staying Relevant podcast, hours after Pete was interviewed by Sam for Hits Radio. 

‘Weird being interviewed by your best mate,’ Pete wrote on Instagram as he shared a snap of the radio show being recorded.

Pete’s outing with Sam came as his former Strictly dance partner Jowita Prystal, who he had a rumoured a fling with, shared a post gushing over how proud she was of him on his new dog show.

‘Loved every second of first episode,’ Jowita wrote as she shared a snap of Pete Wicks: For Dog’s Sake on her TV. ‘Proud of you @p_wicks01 [love heart].’ 

Jowita’s show of pride for Pete came after Pete dropped a major hint that he spent the festive period with Maura Higgins.

In typical style, Pete and Sam showcased their opposite personalities with their outfit choices as they headed out in London. 

Pete sported an all-black ensemble consisting of a denim jacket with jeans, a plain t-shirt and patent boots, while Sam was wearing a light grey hoodie with light blue jeans and a blue t-shirt underneath, as well as bright white trainers. 

Sam’s cheery appearance comes after it was revealed his house has undergone a bachelor pad makeover following his recent break-up from ex-girlfriend Zara.

It was claimed that Zara, 28, moved out of the west London home they shared weeks ago after they called time on their relationship before Christmas.

And it appears Sam has wasted no time in giving the place a refresh as he employed the help of organising duo, Sorter Sisters, to organise his dressing room.

Photographs shared by the company show Sam’s perfectly organised wardrobes, housing his trainer collection and a selection of his clothing.

The post received the support of his ex Zara, who ‘liked’ the gallery of images of the room in Sam’s house which were posted on December 22.

Zara and Sam began dating in 2019 after Made In Chelsea star Sam, 32, messaged Love Islander Zara, 28, on Instagram.  

But it was reported last week that the pair have recently parted ways – though neither have publicly commented on the break-up.  

It has been reported that Sam and Zara split weeks ago and has already moved out of the couple’s London home.

The Sun has revealed Zara has also jetted off on a secret trip to Paris for New Year’s as she takes some time to herself post break up. 

A source told the publication: ‘It’s been a tough time for Zara. The trip to Paris just helped her get away from it all.

‘Zara just wants to try to focus on work and get herself together. They split some time before it officially emerged and she is now living apart from him.’

Fans were left convinced they knew the real reason why the couple split after not spending Christmas together. 

Eagle-eyed supports claimed it was Sam’s lack of action that prompted the pair to split as they said Sam should have asked Zara to marry him. 

They wrote: ‘In the words of Beyonce. If you like it then you should put a ring on it’; Propose, no time like the present; Mate, buy her a ring FFS.’
