Sam Smith marked the beginning of his To Be Free New York residency with a quirky new photoshoot.
The singer, 33, donned a pirate-inspired look in one snap as he teamed up with fashion brand Vivienne Westwood.
The hitmaker sported a large dark grey hat with a black tassel detail which they paired with a dark green jacket.
Sam, who uses they/them pronouns, wore a plaid shirt with matching flared trousers in another look from the shoot.
Their third look was more casual as they sported a navy T-shirt with a green and pink print promoting thier shows.
The T-shirt is for sale, with proceeds going towards Sam’s charitable foundation, The Pink House, which serves as a source of support for the LGBTQIA+ community.

During the summer, Sam released their new song To Be Free.
The musician has been teasing their latest track on their Instagram the past few weeks admitting the song is ‘more than special to me’.
They penned: ‘I wrote this song with my dear friend Simon Aldred. It’s one vocal and guitar take from start to finish, made complete by the beautiful injection of the incredible choir we’ve been working with across this new project.
‘To Be Free was written 5 years ago. It’s more than special to me.’
And fans went wild for the new song as they took to the comment section to share their love.

Songwriter Brandi Carlile also reposted the song as she wrote: ‘No one talk to me unless it’s about this song and this voice.’
Sam then announced a 12-night residency at the intimate venue Warsaw, which holds about 1,000 people, in Brooklyn in New York in October.
The residency has since been extended to 24 shows due to fan demand.
Sharing the news on Instagram they wrote: ‘This residency is something I’ve been thinking about and planning in my head for a long time.
‘It’s such a different experience to play intimate shows, and I’m so excited to host this in a city that I adore.
‘Sign up for limited tickets. Pre Sale July 29th, 10am local. General sale begins August 1st, 10am local.’
The video for their new single was filmed at the same venue, adding to the significance of the residency for Sam.
