Sam Faiers’ Heartbreak: Late Grandmother’s Wedding Ring Stolen

Sam Faiers has been left heartbroken after thieves stole her late grandmother’s wedding ring from her £2million mansion.

The reality star returns to mainstream TV with her older sister on Tuesday evening with the launch of her new show, Sam & Billie: The Sister Act.

But the imminent launch has been overshadowed by the theft of her beloved Nanny Wendy’s watch from the sprawling Surrey home she bought with partner Paul Knightley in 2022.

The treasured accessory remained with the mother-of-three after 77-year old Wendy tragically died in 2021 following a battle with pneumonia.

Other valued possessions are also believed to be missing, and according to sources the culprit was someone known to Faiers, 34.

The reality star moved into the Cobham property with her family after previously renting a £7,000 a month house in the local area for two years while searching for her dream home.

Her ordeal is expected to play out in new fly-on-the-wall show Sam & Billie: The Sister Act, when it airs on ITV2 later this week.

Faiers has since stepped up security at her property, with insiders revealing the mum-of-three is taking every measure possible to ensure nothing else is stolen.

Faiers was devastated following the death of her grandmother, and subsequently shared a moving tribute across her social media channels.

She wrote: ‘Nanny Wendy, a week today the lord called you home to heaven. I will love you forever nan, you was such a huge inspiration to Billie and I.

‘From day one we was your ‘Miss Worlds’ you spoke positivity over us our whole life. You loved us unconditionally. You truly was the best nan ever.’

She continued: ‘I can hear your voice everyday, ‘hello my darling, how are you’. You would call us almost everyday for a chat, you would come to all the parties and events with us, I have thousands of special memories with you, nan you are a legend.’

Viewers of the forthcoming show will see Faiers and her older sister Billie ‘battle with health worries’ and ‘face shocking truths’ while making memories as a family unit.

A press release reads: ‘Finally, Sam and Billie are reunited, enter the next chapter of their lives as they take on the world together.

‘With the kids a bit older it’s time for them to focus more on themselves and take a bit of sister time out whilst maintaining the crazy juggle of motherhood, their careers and celebrity life.’

It adds: ‘From emotional heart-to-hearts and healing past wounds to celebrating milestones and facing life’s unexpected curveballs, the sisters join forces to ride the glamorous highs and humbling lows.

‘With several trips abroad, glitzy events and family life back home, this series is access all areas.’

The sisters, who found fame on The Only Way Is Essex, originally confirmed their return to reality TV in April.

A source told The Sun: ‘Of all the original TOWIE stars, they’ve kept a fiercely loyal fanbase for nearly 15 years and everyone was sad when Sam and then Billie decided to call time on their fly-on-the-wall shows.

‘The new series, which will air later this year, will look at motherhood from a different angle and be less about the kids and more about their careers and juggling their businesses.’

It’s a curveball for Faiers, who initially quit reality TV to live a more private life away from the cameras in 2021, after walking away from Sam & Billie: The Mummy Diaries.

She said at the time: ‘After many months of consideration, I’ve decided that now feels like the right time to step away and to focus on new adventures.

‘I truly have watched all the most defining moments in my adult life play out on The Mummy Diaries – bringing two beautiful children into the world, my relationship with Paul, building my businesses, creating a home together as a family, and of course all the wonderful memories with Billie and my family.

‘I’m so grateful to ITV and Potato for giving me and my children the best home movies anyone could ask for, I could never have imagined seven years ago that we would still be here today – 9 series on! But more importantly, I will be forever appreciative to our incredible viewers.

‘There’s no family more entertaining than the Shepherds, so I can’t wait to sit back as a viewer for a change and watch the fun play out while I have a few adventures of my own away from the cameras.’

Sam & Billie: The Sister Act airs from August 19 at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
